Remember Borg's mancatcher swarm, well here it is again with Turbo Boosters attached.
The Speedsters harrass the hell out of everything whilst Katalkus and Rava play pass the spell over ere and then set about shooting things and bringing back dead harrassers.
A little concerned about range nerfing stuff but the harassers can gang up-n stuff.
Katalkus and Rava can do the close combat thing, they're just not great at it.
Not using domains as far as I know at our nationals in three weeks time so i need some real feed-back if possible.
Remember LOL gives Ghostform and the helm gives Magic Defence type to Rava.
BOL could be helped by spells or Relics to ignore the Ghostform but that is a hell of a lot of points.
Did consider potion of vitality for Katulkus and dropping one of the Bloodwings.
What do you all think.
You are of course correct about the pathfinder bit, I didn't even look at the word :(
Doesn't help much so I think I'll have to find an alternative Book.
Revised Version swaps the Swarmling straight out for a Deathsinger at the same points and Principles of Terchnomancy replaces Leaves of learning for a +1 defence.

If the ECC is a good indicator, you will run into a few problems:
Pyresphere is a problem for your Summon engine. I think, a Disbelieve or two would help you.
You have no healer. Not a problem, but again, if you run into a Pyresphere, you lack units.
Blackwings are nice, but the do not really help against Skydragons. I would advise to replace at least one wth a Grimlin. They are much faster and you could upgrade to a Tome of Brass for 2xDisbelieve and/or something else.
Your army is absolutely helpless versus the dreaded Chroma with Inferno (for that matter, versus almost everything with Inferno). I don't know, if you can live with that. If not, try to include Fumble.
Have played it against sky-dragons and they could not compete with the Darkwings, they prevent the bounce easily and give Rava a shot at the dragon when it tries to engage. Give it a try and you will see.
I don't see useless against Chroma & Inferno personally, I have enough figures to keep him permenantly occupied whilst I take out other stuff and secure objectives. Remember I don't need to kill Chroma, just stop my oponent from gaining the objectives.
I agree that there are a number of spells which could cause this army problems and I am examining other options, including Grimlins and a Book upgrade.
Thanks for the input Kiko, it's much appreciated.
it's solid, Sky Dragons are not that big a deal, they cost a lot of points and are easily killed. What I would like to see you sneak in there if you play Rava is a Chinook, in case you face a range-killing domain and don't have the appropriate counter...in a major tourney you need to make sure your big gun can't be stopped, with Chinook and Arcane sight Rava can hit ANY piece in the game, just my throughts...

There are exceptions to every rule. There are a few things Even Rava/Arcane Sight can't hit. Inferno, Galeshi sunsword, Kosian Shield Tome to name a few...
I like your modified army. As with all army builds there are going to be things that slow you down .... i.e. Storm Gale, Pyresphere, etc. Personally, I don't think any of us can deal with all the potential threats / counters. I think your army has a good mix/balance.
Orc, the only comment I have with your build is that it really doesn't have a melee beatstick. Rava is uber, and the Blackwings are major pests, but in my army builds I like someone who can really pound it out hand to hand. Unfortunately, with your army build I don't see how you can add this without sacrificing other key components. I do like your addition of Revenant. I think this is going to be key.
a figure with stealth given enough hindering/concealing (think grasslands) can't be shooted
Thanks for the thought, thats one of the reasons for Arcane Sight.
Hey Steve ..
I'm also concerned with the lack of Close Combat protection, have found that the Darkwings can help out there a little but I have a few weeks to nail the final army so all of this input is really useful.
Thanks guys
