We’re starting the Sneak Peeks just as the Black Powder Revolution began, with a bang supplied by a sniper named Snow. Although he is able to shoot on the fly, Snow’s real specialty has always been the set shot, and the figure bears that out. Starting with Stealth and Infiltrate, Snow can find an advanced position on the battlefield to cover the center objective with his 12-inch range, and will be difficult to pull out of the brush. Although his starting 11 Attack is very good for an 88-point figure, when you consider that he is a member of the Bloody Thorns and subtracts 2 from his target’s defense at range, you can see how Snow managed to hit Karrudan with his famous shot. Two starting clicks of Pierce ensure that his 4 Ranged Damage will get through any defenses that Snow’s unlucky target may have. Although he has the Bow attack type, Snow does not have an attack bonus, allowing him to defend himself at close range with fuser pistols or a blade almost as well as he can at a distance with his rifle. Snow’s superb attack drops to a 9 on his second click (effectively an 11 at range thanks to his subfaction ability), it remains relatively stable after that, falling slowly to a 6 on his 9th and final click. Despite the drop in attack value, some players will still be tempted to push Snow off his first click, because he picks up Dodge on his second click and keeps it for two more. Between the Dodge, a Defense that starts at 17, and his 5-click streak of Stealth, getting to Snow and finishing him off will be troublesome for any attacker.
At only 88 points, Snow is perfect to add a relic to. Although oft-used relics like Karrudan’s Bow and Inferno aren’t as useful for Snow as they are to other figures, some of the slightly more rarely used ones such as Marrowdrinker, Assassin, Dragonsbreath, Silvercloud, Temenor’s Crossbow, or Dragonstar are quite nice. Bracers of the Ranger will allow Snow to move quickly through the brush or rubble he hides in, while the Bracers of the Archer would allow him to fire over intervening figures, and increase his already impressive attack value. Of course, where would a discussion of Snow be without looking at how he interacts with Snow’s Fuser Rifle? While the Fuser Rifle does lower Snow’s damage by 2, the restriction to target a single enemy figure doesn’t hurt him any, since he already has only a single target. With the increased range, Snow can cover the entire board, and the increase to his attack makes him frighteningly accurate given that it stacks with his subfaction ability, making even a Defense of 23 hittable on a mere 7.

Give it a rest. That's 4 replies in less than a hour of the original posting of THIS thread, which was posted late in the evening (USA time). But there is another thread started in GD with many replies about this sneak peek. Take the doom & gloom somewhere else please...
Real cool. One thing, the WK stats state him to be * (weak) rank. I'm assuming he's actually unique, since Kevin stated that figures would be either unique or ** (standard). They also forgot his range and his 1 range attack, and his ranged damage...
I thought there was some mistake when I saw the sculpt, quickly thinking it was an "August prize" or something... I am going to enjoy those old sculpts getting pulled out of the box.
I just bought a 2.0 starter tonight for grins and giggles and thought it was nostalgically fun to pull a Deathspeaker Aerodon and a harka orc, and Steam Mauler. Fun stuff when I pull a Maelstrom Golem, Snow, Solonavi Striker... Should be a blast opening nexus boosters.
I don't think they could have picked a better sculpt for Snow. When I first saw the Snipers, I always thought that the LE version should have been Snow. The original snipers had a 14 range, I do wish Snow had the same range.
I am glad he doesn't have Bound. He's a Sniper! What kind of Sniper runs around in the open to get blasted. I like how the dial stays true to what a sniper does. He sits still, invisible, and waits patiently until he can get the one shot off. That's exactly what this dial represents.
Ialso really like the paint job. Looks a lot cleaner than the goopy mess we used to see prior to 2.0. All in all, I'm real excited for this set...

You think so?
Hmmm....
He's like a figure with permanent overwatch - sure you can move up to the center token, but you're bound to get popped by Snow. And with Bloody Thorns subfaction, he has poor man's bound in that he's chained in place, but can spin to face anything he wants. And if you happen to move further than he can shoot and base him before he shoots you(and there are only a couple), he can pistol whip you up close, too. He's pretty cheap for a good all around fig. Rayden Marz cost ~100 points more and I'd rather field this guy.
And I don't think he needs bound. He's a threat that will keep my opponent away instead of a threat that I will bring to my opponent. I can move support figs up closer to the action with Snow covering 'em. Summoning figs 10 inches or more toward the center? Madness!
