OMFGWTF i am only going to buy like 3 figures from this set.

Okay so here is my theory on how wizkids made Nexus:

Step A:

Grab one of each of the chosen figures.

Draw large squares on the floor each with a faction associated with it.

Put on blind folds and randomly chuck figures into the squares to determine their faction affilation


Step B

Take one pile of random names (about 100) and attach them do rocks

Stand up figures side by side along a wall.

Hurl rocks at figures and name them correspondingly. Whichever figures don't get hit can keep their old names.


Step C

Take a bunch of old misprinted dials and frisbee them at the figures which are now strewn about the office.

Make up a few new ones when you run out of the misprinted ones.


Step D

Take each figure one at a time and roll a random handful of dice for each to determine point cost.


Step E
Write about how this set is a throwback to old times and that it will apeal to both old and new players alike.

Sign contract with Satan.

Cry in the shower at night knowing what they have done, while little demons place pinnaples in their nether regions.


I wanted this set to end MK on a golden memeory, instead it is becoming sour grapes.

The stats are so-so, I really like the drac.

Niasamond is a nice figure, but it is only a shade compared to the mighty Regal Draconum.......

hahaha that is pretty good........ i think some people though, are hating this set, just to hate it and that some if not most people that dislike this set is doing it just to go against WK and not even give it a chacne. That's not the attitude someone should have against a game that they supposably love(d)

Niasamond's pretty good, I thought. Bad attack, though, for a figure of his points. I play Conquest anyways, so it won't be a problem to give him a relic.

What's the deal with Soulbound, anyways? Not only is his sculpt freaky, he's a BPR vampire. I thought BPR (or specifically Galeshi) gave people to Darq, not the other way around. Perhaps Moonborn who have rejected Darq's leadership?

I think Rurik the Blessed turning into Rurik the Cursed is a slightly humorous twist.

Ignoring the homo-erotic sculpt, I like the Souldbound's stats and abilities. It's made to be pushed and then Vamp back up (ok, enough with the jokes). Maybe I'll paint pants on mine, though. Denim. And I think I'll give 'em cowboy hats and spurs, too. And replace those goofy blades with a roped calf. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I don't quite get what's wrong with Nias. He seems highly comparable to Varatrix to me (who seems to be considered one of the best high point uniques available). Sure, he's slower (something that can be easily and cheaply fixed), but he has charge instead. Charge is huge on a figure of that size. Unlike Varatrix, he doesn't take a click when he wants to hurt something. He also is something to be feared at soaring level. since he actually has a chance to use his ranged attack. Magic Immunity isn't much worse then Ghostform at this point thanks to the dirt cheap Arcane Sight spell. He could have used some crushing blow, but I can live without it.

Ok I know at face value, some of these figures with different factions seem weird or out of place. But in my theory, I think the game designers or writers have already created a story or situation where it would explain why this and that figure is now associated with this and that faction. They probably have hundreds and hundreds of stories written or discussed but not yet published.

Niasamond is a melee monster with his 9 speed Ram and 13 attack Sweep, and 5 damage. Plus, he has 12 range with 4 ranged damage, a big plus against fatties with MI defense. Definitely can toe to toe with Kossak, and win. Equip Niasamond with Monk's Blade to make his defense to 21 and attack value up to 14. Toughness would really help but I guess they had to put some weakness on this already powerful beast.

I was one of the few people who liked and played with the 1.0 Spiritcatcher (LI and in base contact with Zombie Baron and tough Nightstalker to magic enhance damage). The new Spiritcatcher isn't that hot. Ghostform and 3 ranged damage is a plus but the attack value drops down very fast.

What happened to my favorite sculpt, Vija of Vladd?? He looks like a stripper in a bridal shower. Knock knock. "Hello, anybody requested a vampire?" Disco music starts... Kidding aside, I like the stats of Souldbound, designed for aggressive playing style. Boost his attack value with items to take advantage of his 3 base damage later on. Take note also that he has 18 defense value at the middle of his dial (just before Vampirism kicks in).

They should have named the regel drac Dracognus and made him a beast or they should have made him non unique.Draccogunus is from origin of the draconum writen by smitty.I strongly sugest you read before the realms go bye bye.

Now that 1.0 is legal to use with 2.0 in offical tournaments the 1.0 Regal is far superior only for the 4 way Magic Freeze.
