Sorry to be so morbid, but what criteria will you guys use to determine if and when to shut the site down? Just wanted to know........

I've said this several times, as long as people are visiting this site discussing Mage Knight, this site will be up.

Of course, that bars your usual catastrophes or such things as Tony & Kevin deciding it was time to pack it all up. None of that is even close to expected, though.

I talked to Drad about the fure of MK Realms at Gen Con. He said as long as people use the site to discuss and play MK he will keep it open. He also said he will upgrade the site ala MW in the near future. He just needs a free weekend to sit down and do it.

Thats good to hear. Regardless of how any of us feel about WizKids, this site is still a fun place.

Sorry if I missed any other threads that discussed this. It had just hit me that when the game ends the site might end. So, sorry if I am behind the times.

I doubt we will see the Realms fade away in the near term. As long as the game has a following and people post there seems to be no reason why it wouldn't last. The challenge is to keep the Realms fresh. We will no longer have sneak peeks, FAQ's, Rules discussions, etc. It's up to the gamers to make it interesting to visit.

That's another point. Even if all interest in the game disappears (and I don't think it will any time soon), WizKids is keeping the brand alive and there will be Mage Knight things to discuss.

Yep, like the Mage Knight PC game next year. Can't wait to play it. :)

And even if all fails, if this site is hosted for free, it could exist for years to come. :-)

Seriously, I think that the Rumour Mill might be empty but the rest of the site...nope.

As long as there are people playing and interested this site will remain or another will be started. I for one do not plan on leaving.

It is the only fansite left (as far as I know) and I like it simply as a resource if for nothing else.

Lets hope the site stays around a while .I enjoy the forums almost as much as the game!
