Azruk is a nice piece. He's a good 2nd tier attack piece an with PoD he can get that first shot in most of the time. However, I don't believe that he is as playable as Mock is. For the points I'd rather use the **Blackstone Warder. Also, I'd pull a soulshredder and put in a ***Channeler. But 3 magic healers would be too excessive. I'd take the Warder myself so that at least she can pick up the spellbook if Elydia gets taken out. You should check out Wolfhawk though. With PoD, she can hit 19 def fairly reliably. Even a 20 def is a 50% chance to hit. Also, the Soulshredders are nice and all, but I think they are overpriced for what they offer. The **Destroyer, though costing about 30pts more is a much better deal with a 18+1(soaring) def. Then again, it will be hard to fit the Destroyer in without changing too much in your army.
Another item worth considering is switching the spellbook for the Book of Mist instead. You lose 6 pages for 3pts, but your spellcaster gains GF. This helps tremendously when trying to keep you healer alive. Also with GF, you don't need Auraheal as much because the healer shouldn't be taking much damage. And Elydia w/ Book of Mist can bound to attack without having to worry about return fire. If you go with BoM, I'd suggest Call Familiar, Arcane Sight, Archers Aim and Deny. Call Familiar is a given. Arcane Sight to make Haddy that much more effective as an attacker. Archer's Aim is always a nice spell to have and its there in case you of erase (you never know). And Deny so that you can stop the opposing casting of Arcane Sight. Or you can drop Archer's Aim and 1 other spell to fit Lightning Palm if you don't expect Arcane Sight or Stone of Scrying on the opposing team.
Finally, I'd just like to say that you have chosen the best faction to support. :p :D
I agree with most of Hero_guy's suggestions. For me, I like Seeker Elydia to have the pricey Word of Refusal spell so that she can counterspell even with an action token.
I like your idea of having the two tough Soulshredders. They can soar and mindtap Heddravalis' or Seeker Elydia's Bound. With a starting speed value of 9 and a range of 12 with 3 ranged damage, the Soulshredders have an effective bounding range of 21 inches.
Now the dilemma with the tough Soulshredder is whether you want to be safe and remain in your starting click with a poor ranged combat attack value of 9 and an average defense of 16 but with Ghostform OR push the Soulshredders to their 2nd click which has 8 speed, 11 ranged combat attack value, 18 defense with Terrify but no Ghostform.
For me, go for the second click with higher attack and defense value.
And lastly, your centerpiece Heddravalis needs more beefing up. So if you have the following relics, I suggest equipping any of them: Magestone Shield, Torengrim's Helm, Fang Shield, Inferno, Screaming Shield, or Blackstone Plate.
Thanks for the advice, guys. I'm glad to see there's still a decent following on the Realms :). I agree though, I don't think the army had enough oomph to be a competitive 600 point army. Heddy has some great potential as a center piece that I'm not tapping, I think:
Heddravalis-113
Inferno-35
PoV-20
Elydia-74
Principles of Technomancy-25
^Auraheal-12

You got the Inferno relic, cool. Ok, now listen up (this goes to all players with Inferno also), whenever you equip Inferno on someone, the ideal combo with that is the Magestone Bracers.
Inferno forces your opponent to shoot you with only wand ranged combat attacks, right. With Magestone Bracers, not only would you get +1 defense, your wand type attacker would get -3 to their attack due to Spell Resistance (Pierce notwithstanding).
That's why Chroma has been one of the more favorite Inferno wielders because it already has Spell Resistance in its dial.
Yeah, I realized that before I played. I swapped the PoV for a MSB, and upped the Principles of Technomancy to a Tome of Brass, and included a Call Familiar.
I played one game with this army, and its put up a decent fight against a trio of Skydragons. I just couldn't stand up to the melee brutality, even though I managed to pick off a rider and a good deal of support with Heddy and the Shredders went down. It was a very good and close game, and I look forward to a rematch.
I was thinking about the almost disturbing lack of melee power in the army, and wanted to try my hand at putting in my favorite cherry fairy:
Varatrix-156
Scorch Hammer-30 (god this thing is fun!)
PoV-20
This one is much more to my liking. Varatrix is a melee God as I'm sure we all know :p. Heddravalis is at Rava's caliber, especially with the Cloak of Shadows. The Shades are tried and true, and the Destoyer adds a marvelous twist, giving Elydia and the Shades the precious Magic Blast. He can also go in for a melee strike with the same range as a Skydragon.
Just trying to keep the light burning in this little section of teh realms! :)
Keep all your figures grounded. If you split your forces between soaring and grounded, you will lose to the Sky Dragon army (especially if he's bringing 3 of them and 3 tough Dragon Priests).
Varatrix's 18 defense is very manageable by the Sky Dragon riders (btw, what riders is he using?). I would prefer you boost up Trix's defense rather than field Scorch Hammer. Or the very least, change his PoV to a Magestone Bracers for a +1 defense.
Regardless of whether his Sky Dragons are in the air or on the ground, position your Destroyer forward because it is magic immuned. But try to stay away from the 14-16 inch charging distance of the dragons. If the dragons are at ground (and ideally with an action token), double-time your shades to base them outside their front arcs. Then move your troops closer to the kill.
I know stuff like Magestone Shield (I don't have Paragon's Shield), or the godly Magestone Armor are preferable to Scorch Hammer, but I have yet to successfully use the Hammer's blow-up effect, and want to get a chance to pull one of those off :p.
But a relic I haven't tried (ever) is Souldrinker. I picked one up a while back, but I've never put it in an army. We've moved on up to 800:
Varatrix-156
Souldrinker-53
Heddravalis-113
Elydia-74
Tome of Weirding-28
^Call Familiar-10
^Centaur's Gait-3
^Disbelieve-4
Sinister Destroyer-90
Sinister Avenger-86
Good ol' Striker-112
Now I must rely in harassment more than ever, now than Varatrix moves at 10. Not quite as good as if I were using Paragon's Shield or the MS Shield, but imo more fun. A Vampiric Trix is pretty thematic, I think :p. I think we'll go at it again at some point this weekend.

If you want to successfully pull off throwing Scorch Hammer and you're not concerned about faction purity, I suggest you pair Trix with a Freeholder with Mask of Mysteries.
Sorry for the wait, but after a bit of an effort, I killed off the Draconum menace. I decided to go with Inferno with MSB for Trix, which proved to be a very potent combo. Backed by an Aurahealing Elydia, it's pretty darn cool.
Anyhow, I got off easy; it was a faction-pure Drac army, and the rider of teh three dragons were all Honorguards/Nepherea Pike. A few well-placed shots from my ranged guys took 'em out of comission pretty quickly.
The current version of teh army is:
Trix-156
Inferno-35
MSB-10
Heddy-113
CoS-8
Elydia-74
Codex of Light-45 (no Book of Mists)
^Auraheal-12
^Call Familiar-10
^Cobra's Bite-4
^Cobra's Bite-4
Congrats on your victory and good luck on your next match.
On a side note: I'm happy that you found some time to post again on your thread. A lot of times, when a newbie comes here and asks for help, and Realmers give their comments and suggestions, we never hear from that newbie again. :)
Sorry I only post once a week, its just that my only Realms-funcitoning computer, I only have access to on Fridays :p.
No worries about me ditching the Realms. I've been following MK since Borg and Hitman spawned GA, and I'm not leaving any time soon. Its just that until now, I haven't had the need to post :p.
I haven't gotten to play recently, so my last version still remains untested, though :(.
