***High Elven Disciple-54pts.

*Demi-Magi (1.0) (x2)-44pts.
TOTAL: 464pts.
Place the two * Demi-Magi and the two ***High Elven Disciples in base contact with Master Cyrus and cast spells, use formation attacks ect. Keep the two * Heirraman Preistesses in the back but within healing range. Place the two ***Grave Robbers twoards the back too.
Point taken. As a modification I could switch out the Grave Robbers for two ***Leech Medics, a *Leech Troll, a * or **Blood Shaman or a Mending PRiestess

Sorry but this army is very weak. You are relying too much on your range attacks from your wand type figures. What if you come up against an opponent with MI, Ghostform or Stealth. For a 464 point army, you don't even have a decent melee attacker or bodyguards, that spells massacre (for you) most of the time.
As for your battle plan, it is faulty. You are expecting your opponent to just stand there and be shot at. It's not that simple.

If you win your friendly game, please smack your opponent in the head for me, will ya. :p
A search on these forums will lead you to a thread called "combined arms" or something like that. I suggest you search for it and take note of what is said. Some basics for competitive armies:
1. Have at least 1 figure w/ 11 attack. Try to boost this w/ items, if you can fit it. Potion of Dueling is only 6 pts and can boost a :sword: type attack by 3 which applies even for ranged attacks.
2. Don't rely on 18 defenses to keep you alive. There is too much in the game that can hit 18's reliably.
3. I suggest you do a quick search for a. odds to hit and b. odds for counterspelling.
4. If you are going to rely on any single attack type I suggest it be :sword: types. Ranged units are good to have, but they are always going to be hosed by MI, GF or LI. And terrain can also be a pain. But cc attacks are near impossible to stop. Only a few pieces of styrene can do that. So :sword: types always have a chance (not necessarily a good chance though) to hit.
5. keep practicing and you'll start to get the grasp of some other points of the metagame soon enough.

This is golden advice Hero_Guy. Well, I'll take a look through me barracks and see what victi....er...volunteers I could use.
Perhaps though, this is the beginning of a good idea, not a complete one?
