I'm starting this thread for the sole purpose of creating a bulletin board of sorts for news and updates on the Clash of the Realmers contest. I noticed that the original thread is too cluttered for the participants to view the past posts of players' armies or recent updates.
To everyone, please do no post here.

Game Mechanics:
I will hold a series of MK tournaments with different formats at MKRealms where players will submit their armies to me via PM (Private Message). Once a sizeable amount of players have submitted their entries, the tournament begins. All the armies will be posted for all to see. I will randomly pit the armies against each other in a series of preliminary matches. The 4 players with the best record will go on to the Semi-finals and Finals. There is also a side contest where Realmers can bet on the outcome of every match. Realmers will get points for every correct outcome.
Judgment:
A friend and I will play out the different matches and that will determine the winner of that respective round. Since playing a full 50 minute game is tedious and time consuming, if there are instances where one army is obviously superior to another, then judgment will be declared without actually playing it. I have contacted Hero_guy and asked him to be my co-counsel for this contest. If he feels differently on the outcome of the unplayed match, then that is the time I will play that match-up. Aside from that, there isn’t much you can do if the outcome of the played/unplayed match isn’t in your favour. The system isn’t perfect but it’s for FUN. So loosen up. :D
Prizes:
Aside from bragging rights, winner of each tournament will receive an MK LE card. I know it’s not much but hey, it’s free. :D Also, Realmers who predicted the outcome and have accumulated the highest points will also receive an LE card.
Many still love the game but don’t have any nearby venues that hold tournaments or don’t have anybody to play with at all. Finally, MK players from different parts of the country and the world can battle with each other without having to spend a huge chunk of time and money to face one another. It’s also a good way for new players to try out their different prototype armies. It’s also a great way for veterans to show the new generation how it is done.
It’s so simple and easy, just PM me your army and that’s it! I’ll do the rest. You can just sit back and let your army do the fighting for you.

Game Mechanics
Choose among the 12 army entries, vote for the army you think will win the whole tournament. Please post your votes here. After the tournament, the person who guessed it right, will get 5 points. Once the 1st round is underway, voting for the overall tournament winner will end.
When the individual match-ups are presented, vote for the army you feel will win that round. For every correct answer, you will get 1 point. Please post your votes here. Thank you.
1. Choose the armies you predict will win the match-ups in the 1st round.
2. Choose the army you predict will win the entire tournament.
Deadline for submission of your picks will be until Friday (Pacific Standard Time). I'll give my comments on the various armies and who I think has the strongest chance of winning the whole thing after the deadline to avoid influencing your picks.
But I will comment on this, after warlording in my venue for 4 years and running, I already anticipated players' fondness for Summon and Revenant. Hence, the implementation of special rules #2 and #3 to slightly balance the battlefield.
Good luck to all the armies and to all the voters.

Kudos for fielding a pure Solonavi army but Varatrix is the only thing you can rely on. Using 2 tough Soulshredders and 3 weak Oracle of Rokos is questionable enough as it is But failing to field a figure with Bound (so that the Soulshredders and Oracles can copy it) is a capital crime. Your army is easy to tie up (Terrify is not that reliable) with no real danger to the opposing harassers because majority of your army are weak in close combat, the Oracle’s ranged combat attack values isn’t that hot either.
Solid Summon army. Putting Jadreen was a great idea, gives you an X factor. But your mage spawns would have greatly benefited if you used Vah’kama instead of Quo’drama.
Solid swiss-knife army. The only questionable decision is the standard Tormented Soul. It is too situational to use. Move for 8, rest, move 8, rest, move for 8, rest. In the heat of battle, its inability to surge or double-time may cost you that one crucial attack.

Kudos for fielding a pure Elven Lords army. Great swiss-knife army. Not really a mistake but just a teeny tiny omission on your army but the lack of a back-up magic healer (weak Heiramann Priestess) would have helped. Yes, Elabeth has Magic Healing but for her points and ranged damage capabilities, she’s a waste if she ends up at the rear. So, she will more or less likely take an active or aggressive role. And with that, she is susceptible to attacks also or too preoccupied in attacking something rather than healing. But as I said, just a teeny tiny omission, more like a suggestion actually. But overall, solid army.

Dangerous tournament-calibre army. It would have been more flexible and deadlier if the cavalry riders were the tough Dragon Priests though.
This army will have problems with heavy-soaring opponents. But other than that, it will give ground opponents plenty of headaches. Wished there was one standard Solonavi Shade so that the other Shades can immediately copy Vampirism.

4 bounders with 3 of them efficient in close combat also. What worries me is the healer (Fireflower) in your army is usually found in the front lines because of the Sky Dragon and in constant danger because of that, which leaves little time for healing her comrades.
Good job on the pure 1.0 design. Powerful figures but too simple in its design, lacking in the first strike department or any outstanding gimmick. The Grave Robber is the X factor though.

I also use this tournament-winning army often. The only thing I would change is replacing one of the two Deathsingers for a weak Centaur Shaman (double time for 20 inches to tie up something and has a chance of surviving also) OR a weak Tempest Priest. Now you may think that having a 4th magic healer is redundant but from my experience, it really helps due to the nature of this army.
Overall Comments:
Great army entries by everyone with lots of Summon and Sky Dragons. But with special rule #2 and #3 in place, it could cost those Summon armies some crucial actions.
This is the first of many tournaments (I hope). Aside from the unique nature of this contest, this is also a first for some of the participants. This is the first time Fat*Ninja has fielded an army without cards. And for those without tournament experience, this is a good experience for newbie ODJN7 to feel what cutthroat competition is all about. And for our youngest participant, 14-year old Goldeneye, it's also a good change of pace from playing against his neighbor.
Overall, it's a fun way from people all over the world to compete with one another in a game we all love. Thank you to everyone for participating. :)

3.) Revenant – same rules except roll 1d6 first. If the result is a 5 or 6, nothing happens and the action is consumed. Cannot use Revenant while in base contact with opposing figures.
Round 1
Stjohn5179 versus War Wolf
War Wolf’s army played by me
Stjohn5179’s army played by Omin-osul
Omin-osul wondered why there were no melee bodyguards in his army and no Bound figure to copy the SA. He made the best of the situation by moving one of the Soulshredder in the middle objective token, 12 inches away from his group and my army. But I knew what he was planning to do (copy Heddravalis’ Bound) but all my figures had an action token, so I just passed, relying on the fact that my healer was hidden behind 3 Shades and gambling on the low attack values of the Shredder and Oracles. His turn, chain copy Bound. All the attacks missed.
Later on, I surveyed the situation and finally made my move. I moved my Shades and Blackwings to base contact all the Soulshredder, Oracles, and his Varatrix. I moved my Varatrix 12 inches away from his Varatrix. My friend realized that he was in big trouble because I also intentionally placed my Trix far away so that his Oracles and Soulshredder couldn’t base contact my Trix even if they somehow managed to break away from my harassers. Near the end, when my Trix finally attacked his Trix, he conceded and the match was over. Winner: War Wolf
Klesk versus Hero_guy
Klesk’s army played by me
Hero_guy’s army played by Omin-osul
My analysis (post #162) on Klesk’s army proved to be accurate (unfortunately) which was it wasn’t a good situation where his only healer happens to be the rider for the Sky Dragon. Before the game, my friend and I agreed that both armies are of equal calibre and it could go either way. I proceeded to push Syndak and the Regal Skymage to their sweet spot and pushed the Goblins to their 2nd click.
Later on, my Syndak pushed to surge his Avenger for 5 damage. With his Ghostform gone, my Heddravalis pushed to precision shoot Avenger and missed (Aargh! That would have killed it). Anyway, Cindrata and Uncle Guns who were all hiding inside concealing terrain, retaliated and killed my Syndak. His Tormented Soul base contact two Goblins. His Avenger flew back to be healed.
My turn, I mounted charge/charged first his Tormented Soul (I failed) and used it to catapult myself farther to hit Uncle Guns (I didn’t want to gamble hitting Cindrata because of her Dodge). I double-timed one of the Goblins to base contact Cindrata.
His turn, he pushed to attack his Tormented Soul and killed one of the Goblins. He succeeded on his Summon roll and summoned back the Tormented Soul and moved it to base contact the rear of the Sky Dragon. His injured Guns pushed to break away and went back to be healed.
My turn, my Fireflower dismounted, the Sky Dragon broke away, Fireflower mounts again, and proceeded to mounted charge/charge Fys’okro and Sauria. I hit Fys’okro (who lost Magic Healing and Summon) but rolled a critical miss on Sauria.
After many intense turns, time was called. The only survivors in his army were the Tormented Soul, Werewolf, and Sauria. Mine was a Sky Dragon, Regal Skymage (both badly injured) and 1 Goblin Volunteer. I also controlled two objective tokens, giving me an additional 160 points.
My opponent and I agreed that the result could go either way if played again. Winner:Klesk
CirederF versus Carlo
CirederF’s army played by me
Carlo’s army played by Omin-osul
I was afraid of his army because of the Venom mindtap and he was afraid of my army because of the Elven Lords’ high defense and Keldane’s 18 Defend. He hid all his army inside concealing terrain with his tough Shades w/ Stealth acting as a invisible barrier to my range attacks.
After much circling around, he took the initiative and put a Solonavi Shade in the middle objective token, using it as a bait. I took the bait and shot it dead. Next turn, he double-timed all his Shades to base contact almost all of my figures. Kymeseya moved in closer and within striking distance to everybody.
I retaliated. One of my Archers bound and point blank shot Kymeseya for 4 damage. Geddion killed one Shade and Keldane injured another.
His turn, mindtap copied Venom. Everybody took 1 to 2 clicks of Venom. His Deathsinger revenanted back the dead Shade and attacked something (I forgot). His Shades failed their attack rolls.
After many turns, it was obvious that tide of the battle was in favour of my opponent. The Deathsinger failed her revenant rolls twice during the game. In the end, all my EL figures were eliminated. What’s left of my opponent’s army were a frenzied Kymeseya, Elydia and tough Shade (both badly injured), and a Deathsinger. Winner: Carlo
Fat*Ninja versus Locoghoul
Locoghoul’s army played by me
Fat*Ninja’s army played by Omin-osul
My friend won the initiative roll. After deploying all our armies in our deployment area. I looked at all the figures and assessed the situation. Barring some very bad luck rolls, Locoghoul’s army had no chance against Fat*Ninja’s. Too many to handle. My friend concurred. We declared Fat*Ninja the victor. BUT just out of curiosity, we decided to play both armies with Locoghoul winning initiative. Same conclusion though. Winner: Fat*Ninja
Norim versus Goldeneye
Norim’s army played by me
Goldeneye’s army played by Omin-osul
I was too overconfident and blundered my placement. My opponent took advantage and it almost cost me the game. Luckily, I did some damage control and reversed the situation. I killed one Steam Golem. His turn, Grave Robber rolled a 1 for Necromancy (lucky bastard grumble grumble). But in the end, Khan Rava and the cavalry units were too much to handle. Winner: Norim
Phoenix 2000 versus ODJN7
Phoenix 2000’s army played by me
ODJN7’s army played by Omin-osul
On paper, it looked like Phoenix has an edge on ODJN7’s army. But upon deployment, I assessed the situation and concluded (to myself) that ODJN7’s army had a big edge. The biggest drawback to Phoenix’s army was for all intents and purposes, he only had 3 offensive figures and all 3 can be easily neutralized by basing them outside their front arcs. If up against a normal or standard army, the 3 Sky Dragon army would prevail most of the time. But up against a swarm army with Jadreen, it was too much.
I put up a decent fight though, managing to penetrate his home defenses and killed the Shyft Summoner and lots of mage spawns along the way. Btw, my revenant rolls sucked. My opponent also messed up his summon rolls twice during the game but that didn’t change the outcome of the game. Winner: ODJN7

Carlo versus Locoghoul
Carlo’s army played by me
Locoghoul’s army played by Husky
I won the initiative. But even if I lost the initiative, I was prepared to minimize the first strike damage with strategic placement of the terrains and army deployment. My opponent used two shallow water terrains and occupied them every chance he gets to get the +2 defense from his army being all wave-type. After much circling around, when the time was right, I double-timed some of my Solonavi Shades in base contact with the Salamander’s rear arc and some to the Wave Spawns. My Kymeseya charged Captain Onitsha. Next turn, the Salamanders couldn’t break away and the Wave Spawn tried in vain to hit my Shades w/ Parry and Counterattack. For the next couple of turns, the opposing army took considerable amount of Venom damage from mindtap. The lone Onitsha gained Toughness near the end and had to be killed the old-fashioned way. Winner: Carlo
Fat*Ninja versus ODJN7
Fat*Ninja’s army played by me
ODJN7’s army played by Husky
Two Summon armies but from the very start, I knew Fat*Ninja had the edge: 1.) He had more Mage Spawns and 2.) He had Vah’kama while ODJN7 only had Fys’okro’s 10 attack value for Augment. We clashed in the middle. My Blackwings immediately went and surged his Jadreen. His Werebears (who were now in its 3rd click) proved to be tough and frustrating to handle as it took all the Ki-Devils’ attacks to injure it but even with that, the Werebears still had 9 attack and 3 damage. Some of his Blackwings tied up my Feasting Raptors. Luckily, I assigned Jackal to bodyguard duties at the back of the Raptors and surged to Sweep 2 of the Blackwings dead. During the game, my opponent unsuccessfully rolled for Summon 3 times. Time was called, I had 188 kill points and 160 points from two controlled objective tokens while my opponent had 133 kill points and 60 points from one objective token. Winner: Fat*Ninja
Goldeneye versus Hero_guy
Goldeneye’s army played by Husky

Concealing terrain was my terrain of choice. My opponent knew that only way for him to win was to double-time me and so he did. My co-MVP was Uncle Guns, so I intentionally placed him away from the 16-inch double-time reach of the Golems. Guns bounded into concealing terrain and blasted the Stomper for 4 damage. Chromazar tried to help but got tied up by the Tormented Soul. Cindrata hit the Steam Golem in base contact for 2 damage and didn’t push to attack later with full confidence in her Dodge and Parry later on. The Avenger dismantled the other Steam Golem. Later, I made sure not to kill them outright. After my Werewolf double-timed to base contact his Grave Robber, THEN I finished off the Golems. Winner: Hero_guy
Stjohn5179 versus Klesk
Stjohn5179’s army played by Husky
Klesk’s army played by me
It was a perfect battle plan and executed flawlessly. I soared all my 4 big hitters (Heddravalis, Fireflower on Sky Dragon, Syndak, and Regal Skymage) during deployment. I double-timed the Goblins forward, awaiting for the chance to double-time and tie-up something later. I pushed Syndak and Regal Skymage to their sweet spot on the next turn. When my opponent got near, I moved my Goblins in base contact with his Oracle of Rokos. Heddravalis charged the Soulshredder. I made sure Fireflower didn’t make any actions and was 14 inches away from the rest of my key figures, waiting for Varatrix to take the bait so that I could MC/C it with gang-up of +1 from the Sky Dragon (second opion) OR to surge Syndak (first option). After the Shredders were eliminated, my opponent had nothing to lose and surged Syndak. My Heddravalis charged Varatrix, needing a 7, rolled a 6. Counterattack, ouch. Syndak breaks away and Fireflowers heals him. Later, Syndak attacks, needing a 7, rolled a 5. Anyway, Trix kills both Syndak and Heddravalis. Fireflower attacks with 12 attack value w/ gang-up from the Sky Dragon, needing a 6, rolled a 5. Winner: Stjohn5179
Norim versus CirederF
Norim’s army played by Husky
CirederF’s army played by me
My 6 quality Elven Lord figures against my opponent’s 3 super-crazy figures BUT all 3 can be neutered while in base contact. I like my chances. I placed a long blocking terrain 10 inches away from my deployment and hid my EL army there, all in base contact with Keldane’s 18 Defend. My High Elven Warrior grabbed the nearest objective token. My opponent took the opportunity and MC/C me using Geddion as a jumping point to charge Elabeth. His second cavalry unit MC/C and used Geddion again to resolve the Charge against Gate Knight. His Rava couldn’t see anything because I was hiding in blocking terrain and so just moved forward. His Grimlin double-timed to base both my Archers. I successfully rolled Command on my next turn. The High Elven Warrior surged and killed the Grimlin, freeing up my Archers. I computed the damage potential, and decided to kill one Sky Dragon this turn. Keldane charged the Sky Dragon and the Archers bound and point blank to the rear arc of the Dragons, killing it. His other cavalry unit broke away and flew back towards the base camp to be healed. After Elabeth heals him back to full health, Geddion double-time to base contact the cavalry unit. The Archers bound and shot Rava and Gate Knight double-timed to base contact Rava. Wipeout, with no casualties on my part. The opponent’s Solonavi Channeler failed its Summon rolls twice during the game. Winner: CirederF
Phoenix 2000 versus War Wolf

Similar to the first round, the 3 Sky Dragon were constantly based. My opponent had an additional luck on his side, when Heddravalis bound and point blank +1 damage with 2 targets (my 2 riders), he rolled a critical hit! This scenario happened twice. Winner: War Wolf
