Cindrata is my main attacker, designed to soften up powerful centerpieces with piercing 3 damage, plus she can hit from 26'' across the battlefield with the shadowplate (+2 speed).
Throne Monk is my backup attacker just in case i run into figs with ghostform. i'm seriously considering replacing her with a **centaur shaman (nexus) to get over dodge and toughness, but i guess Cindrata can soften em just fine, provided they don't have Ghostform/Limited Invisibility to start out with.
the Blood Shaman is there to either fix bad rolls with hex or heal my figs when they get badly injured.
the Deathsinger is there for anti-summoning purposes (which goes strong in our area), and to deliver some late-game damage with her Revenant subfaction ability.
the Zombie Centaur/Blackwing is there for harrassment purposes, mostly to tie down centerpieces/support pieces so that Cindrata can snipe the best clicks off of them, then let my other figs finish the job. i usually prefer the Zombie Centaur, as it can take more damage, but against soaring centerpieces, the Blackwing serves just about the same purpose.
For this army, i'm thinking of using the Rain and Mud and Downpour Domains mostly to prevent opposing figs from surging/charging Cindrata. and as i haven't had the chance to battle an army with a spellcaster, i guess the Spell Stasis Domain would be nice against spellcasters.
well, my 300 pt. Atlantean "Semi-Submerged" army would give you headaches (imagine losing that precious Deathsinger on turn 1), but otherwise, imho, yours is a pretty well-thought army. Getting around the whole threat of Pierce against Cindrata w/ the Breastplate seems like a good idea. Stick with the Throne Monk as your #2 as many GF'd threats are also:wing: . Also keep in mind of a deadly, but rare, threat known as the Stone of Scrying, which IGNORES Ghostform. W/o any :mi: , that would be the only real hole your army has. Solid 300 pt. army.
Never thought of submerged armies before. sounds like a cool idea, and it might get the players here to start using terrain again. here we have, like, some sort of an "open terrain" battlefield since MK was revived.
better start saving those Wave Spawn and those submerged uniques i have :)
Drop the Shadowplate for Potion of Dueling x2 and Cloak of Shadows x2. Of course Cindrata and Throne Monk would each get one. The +3 attack from the Potion is a general bonus, so it will apply to ranged attacks also (for Cindrata). Both of them have the :wing: movement type so ducking between pieces of hindering terrain won't be a problem for them and it keeps them safe from ranged attacks.
Also, it may be only a +1 speed, but that's to 2 figs instead of a +2 to Cind. Good and bad on that though in that Cind doesn't gain as much bound, but TM can now Surge (or does she have charge? I forget) 1" further.
I like this army. I'm not a real analyst, but I can tell that it's solid. GF figs are a pain in the neck but with the Throne Monk in play, I doubt they'll be a big problem.
