How the HECK does one become a shadowrun judge? (Are they called Fixers?) I am a BM, WL, and HC Judge and I can not for the life of me understand how the hell I can become a Shadowrun judge for my venue if no one else here is a judge. The same goes for Crimson Skies. If you can give me more info, please post or e-mail me at [email protected]
I think for CS and SR, anyone who is already a 'judge' for the other games in automatically included in the new games and may send in results for tournaments.
(just a rumor I heard, may not be true)
There are no specific judges for the shadowrun or crimson skies lines. Any active envoy can run a crimson skies, or shadowrun event. Currently the venue must signup for the event, and then the envoy applies to volunteer for it, and then the venue has to approve that person.
That is what I had to do to signup for the Shadowrun demo in July.
rekced is correct. Any Envoy may sign up to be the Envoy ( no cool new names that I have seen yet) for a demo or Marquee for the two new lines. And then the venue has to approve you. There does not seem to be any way for the envoy to become the "approved" envoy for these two lines yet.
So talk to your venue and tell him to sign the events up you sign in and then tell the venue it is ready to be approved.
I know several venues did not receive prize support for the Crimson Skies Marquee because they did not approve the envoy.
well, that's lame. I had tried to register for the CS marquee and got a prompt saying I didn't have clearance. I then kept surfing the wizkids site and found exactly what you guys said. Well, I hope they got that sorted out. Thanks for the responses.
