While we're waiting for our Republic fly-boys to come out, anyone playing with the yank squadrons in the Austin area?

I'm planning on picking them up later today or tomorrow, depending on when I can get to Dragon's Lair...

I understand the stuff is moving quite well in San Antonio, though. Can't keep the packs in the stores...

There are several Marquees planned in the Austin area.

It'll be fun when they finally release the Texas units, and everyone around here is using them...

I got the planes last week, and I'm hoping to get my first real game in tonight.

Do you think there would be enough interest to justify an Austin CS players yahoo group? We could use it to set up get-togethers, tourneys, or massive air wars.

I'd love to show up and play, as the rest of my gaming group (GW players) aren't going to get involved til July when the pirate squads come out. I've got the Bombers on my shelf just itching for a test flight!

I think I'm supposed to play in the Marque at Comics & More on Lamar. I haven't done any WizKids tourneys before... could I play at the one at Dragon's Lair, too?:)

When is this Marquee?

Speaking of tourneys, I've never played in any Wizkids ones, as the thought of facing 3 Firelords, and 6 Scarlett Witches, doesn't appeal to me. What I'm saying is I like to play with fellas that are in it for fun, not to number crunch and win at any cost only.

So, what's the atmopshere of these Marquees usually like?

I don't know what the atmosphere will be like, but I'm hoping that the costume contest might lighten things up. Hopefully it'll be all about the fun.

Marquees can be cutthroat because there is an exclusive figure awarded to the winner (Mr Suitcase has to have them all).

The Dallas / Fort Worth area has a couple marquees each day that weekend.
