Post here with your ideas for new manuever cards you would like to see. Post details on how the manuever would work gameplay-wise. Ie: Min. Speed, movement pattern, max number of octagons.
The only maneuver I miss in the game is the ability to tail someone proper.
In the computer-game (and in WW-I/II!!) it meant certain death - or at least bailout - if an enemy was able to sneek in behind you. This is something that is not implemented in the current game. Even if you can get in close into the rear arc of your enemy he usually will get away and be able to shoot back most of the time.
My suggestion would be something like this:
If you get into the rear arc of an opponent and into close range (1 hexagon) the tailed pilot has to declare his speed and if the tailing pilot moves in the same segment also his maneuver. The possible excapes are now throttling up/down beyond or under the engine limits of the tailing plane. Or a special maneuver the other pilot can't copy.
Maybe a successful tailing is only possible by comparing both piloting skills.
I haven't playtested it yet, but I used to play the old 'Star Warriors' game from West End Games and it got a similiar rule that worked quite well in simulating tailing planes.
Hm an candle turn. woud i like. Speed any
You pull your plane up and fly up until stall then fall back and choise an new direction any direction is posible after this stunt. hexes on forward and then up by the downfall choice the new direction and one hex in this direction
1.THE IMMELMANN. ITS LIKE THE HALF LOOP BUT WIIL HAVE EITHER A RIGHT OR LEFT DIRECTION AND PROBABLY A MIN SPEED OF 4 ALSO
2.TAIL SKID. SIMULAR TO LOYLE'S HAMMERHEAD BU THE NOSE WILL GET TO POINT IN EITHER A 5:00 OR 7:00 POSITION AT END OF TURN. MIN SPEED MAYBE 5.

That's what the HammerHead Turn is.
You pull up till you stall, then fall in the direction you wish to turn to.
A fall forward is the same as a
A fall forward has the same end result as a SideSlip.
A fall back has the same end result as a Half Loop.
So the cards exist which will show all 4 directions out of the HammerHead.
A lot of Named Manuevers are either a 2 turn card combo,
or look exactly like one of the cards we already have.
Jamie is correct, there just arent enough "new" manuevers to justify additions beyond the "Ace" additions, remember may moves are 3d, but we represent them in 2d, this limits somewhat, and many moves though they are executed differently, have the same result

I'm not expecting more generic nav cards, but since the Aces will come with cards, I'm asking for opinions on what people want to see for those cards.
I suggest the use of old "Blue Max" manouvres, mainly I miss a "gentle" turn: 2 Oct front then a 45° turn R/L, the tunring glide (as a glide, but you end w/plane in the direction of the glide).
What is really needed are the dogfight cards, all the manouvres for fighter to attack a bomber circling around it using the superior flight ability.
we need more fancy manuevers. What have we now straight ahead tight turn halfloop and an side slip what goes as straight. Ok hammer head and this follow me. is this all? .i looked on the old cs manuever template there where 40 hexes and 97 facings in them posible. it was allso only 2D. i think Wk is bringing an suplement out with an new card for the aces ground game and some new nav cards.
