This isn't meant to be sarcastic, but is anyone actually playing the aces game? I don't mean playing air actions with the extra ace rules, I mean playing ground fights with the ace figures and the little discs. It strikes me as being "Heroclix lite," and seems to be a weird little add-on to a pretty cool game.

So far, I haven't felt any real desire to play the Aces game. If I want to play that, I'll just break out my HC........

I might try it, eventually, but at this point-I'll pass.

actually it plays better than heroclix

the ability move and do combat in the same action is a DEFINITE improvement.

the aces game is best when it is incorporated into a scenario game, wherein the loser who was ko'd takes a turn or 2 to get into the air..

We've played a couple of times.

Part of the problem, here, is the extremely limited number of permutations, though. With only two figures that can stand up after being hit once, it gets repetitious...

I haven't played yet, but it seems ok. I also would much rather play Heroclix, but I do expect to see large campaigns that incorporate both the aces and air combat game. That seems cool to me, but I don't think that'll really happen until more aces come out. It's tough with only the 2 real characters.
