Ok, so I haven't bought any CS product yet (*dodges rotten tomatoes*), but I am planning on it soon.
In any case, I figured I would do a little prelim work to get into the spirit of Crimson Skies. I Tivo'ed 'The Rocketeer' from HBO a few weeks ago and finally watched it. I remember not liking it much in the theater but I really enjoyed it this time around! And just try telling me that watching those planes racing around the pylons or the huge drigible doesn't get you psyched for some CS!
The other thing I did was buy the original Crimson Skies PC game from eBay. I had always meant to play it but I never did for some reason. After fooling around with that I have no doubt I'll finally be ready to take to the skies.
the crimson skies pc game is really good. Just beware of the first Hollywood mission...man those obstacles are hard (one of the obstacles is to fly through an "O" in the hollywood hills, yikes!)...
Well I'm going to miss out on the Xbox version probably. A friend of mine has an Xbox so maybe he'll pick it up. I do have a nice MS Sidewinder joystick to use with the game and I've been wanting a flight-simy sort of game for awhile. The last game I used the joystick for was XWing Alliance (what is that, like 3 years old now?)
