Say, how are you folks storing and transporting these things? I've already lost two rockets off of the Avengers from what I consider extremely light bumping around. I mean, I'm not tossing these things or flipping the box over or anything.
Tackle boxes with modular trays seem to be the order of the day from what I've observed. Seems to work very well. i carry the planes in the original plastic packaging, keeps em secure, no moving around.
You mean you pop the whole bubbles into a box, or you're cutting the vacu-formed sections out and putting them in a tackle box?
Actually, just dropping the whole bubble into a box probably ins't too bad an idea. You can probably get 4 or 5 of them into a comic book short box. Plenty for yourself and friends.
Heh... Well i stored them in the bubbles till one of the aircraft came off the stem in it... It turned out i was a prity poor glue job (About 1/4 of the area conecting the plane to the stem was glue..)
Now I tend to move them in a box with them bluetacked to the bottom of it...
exactly JJ, and death, dont "pop" them back in, just put em in place after pushing the plastic tabs out, the bubble cover will hold them in place just fine with no struggles to pop em out.
I bought a "BaitBox" at Wal-mart for about 35 bucks, its designed to hold the trays i was talking about, its 2 compartmented, on wheels and has a handle. All the blisters and the rules fit in the top compartment. And i just switch trays out for whatever game im playing that day if im not hauling CS
I'm using a .50 cal ammo can to carry my planes around in. I've custom made trays out of cardboard for it. When I'm done, it'll carry 16 planes and 6 aces. The can is 7"x11"x5.5". They come in all shapes and sizes. I'll post pics up once I finish the second tray...
Right now, I'm using a medium sized toolbox (less than $10 at K-Mart) to store/cary my CS stuff. The removable tray is large enough to carry all three squadrons so far (unfortunately, it's maxed out right now) and the bottom section holds the manuals, cards maps, etc needed to play the game. The lid also has a storage area that holds tokens, dice, and movement markers.
Unfortunately, the next aces pack comes out tomorrow, and I'll need a bigger box. Has anyone found something that will neatly carry everything needed for the game (planes, manuals, tokens, dice, maps, etc)?
There is an carry case from WizKids for all Clix-Miniatures.
It comes with 2 pre-cut layers, one is for smaller minis (like Aces) and the other one is bigger sized for Planes.
I use the same tall modular toolbox I use for my HeroClix and Mage Knight stuff. Top tray, upper box. They don't get shaken much, apparently, since they're all still in fine shape.
