I second what Go Stros is feeling. It is great to know that more players are coming to round out teams and the game is doing well enough for an expansion set. This has made my day.Excellent!!!
I am defiately glad that Sportsclix is doing well enough to garner an expansion set. But, it's not being released till September! That's 7 months after the initial release. Baseball fever will definately be at a high, but it would have been really really nice to have an expansion out right around the Allstar break, then another one during the playoffs in late Sept/early Oct. Oh well, I guess I can't complain too much. They will be having an expansion, and looks like they will be supporting the game.
I know how you feel about wanting them to release the expansions fast and furious, but look at it this way:
1) Plenty of time to fill out the current set.
2) They aren't being super greedy and throwing out an inferior sequel just to make some quick cash.
3) It will allow them to carefully consider how to correctly balance the new players in relation to the current ones. Even if some rookie like Kaz Matsui has a great first half, I'd still rather them not make him too strong based on a couple hundred at-bats.
My biggest gripe is that I'd like to have more of teams' rosters. I would rather them lower the price of boosters a bit, and have more crappy players. I know people are customizing their own Clix, but I think it'd be fun to be able to play a real World Series between two teams, utility players and all.
also keep in mind that they weren't gonna release an expansion at all until next year. i guess the survey or sales made em change their minds. either way, i'm glad to see it.
Patience with the September release. Mechwarrior was releasing them fast an furious for a while, it was really killing the old bank account and frustrated a lot of players that had to buy boosters at a slower rate because of a slower cash flow. It also meant that just as you were figuring out how to use a set there was a new one.

Remember WK is now owned by Topps which started out as a baseball trading card company is is still primarily a sportscard company. These folks know ALL about putting out rookie and traded sets. My GUESS is they planned all along to put out a mid season set with hot rookies and traded players. OR maybe I'm just cynical. Though don't get me wrong. I'm excited about the new set. But I wonder...will the OLD players on new teams be obsolete?
i think sports clix is a great game i hope it is succsessfull as heroclix and mech warrior. Im very happy about the new set i think it is great i even have my mom playing the game.
Well.....In my area, boosters have always gone for $6.99.If they are going for $5.99(suggested price that is stated on promo pieces),those lucky few should snatch them up.I pay $6.20 a booster because I have bought a ton of stuff from my local venues. They know a golden goose or plastic addict when they see one.
