Hello all. I've made a 'fan' map and some tiles for the Star Wars minis game, and since I like this game's mechanics a hell of alot better I thought I could do no less :). Here's 18 mines as described in the Mine, Not Yours scenario on the WK website, each a little bit bigger than a microid. A pair of planets that are a sight more impressive than the regular asteroids (if I do say so myself). And a generic cargo ship that's quite a bit bigger than even a terran cruiser, even if it is flat. Link To Full Sized Image Careful though, it's a one meg jpeg file.
Thanks, I've been trying to think of some other counters I could produce for the game, but I can't think of any at the moment. Maybe when I start putting up some of the scenarios I've got cooking up.
As part of the spaceship combat game Armada, set in the their Twilight Imperium world, Fantasy Flight Games released a set of space terrain. All extra thick cardboard disks of varying sizes printed with suns, planets, asteroids, and all kinds of space impedimenta and junk. Great game too. More info on Rules of Warfare/mopvement question thread.
Well, of course I want to do more planets, more ships and the like. I mean like the mine counters: game affecting elements/objectives. I'll check the thread out.
Heck, add a few extra parts to make it 3-d, and you could use your frieghter design as a six-pod space station. Got the landing pads for it already....
Only problem is getting paper thick enough to support something like that. I'd be interested in doing it if I could find something that would work well enough.
Very nice. I'm particularly looking forward to what's "comming soon". I really like that style of art you used for the Mercurian Fighter, and it goes very well with the Rocketmen medium. Keep 'em coming!
Place the mines after the last of the resources are placed. Mine placement should be done like the resources but the target should be on either side of the Rogue Asteriod. Any mines that land on the RA are destroyed.
Mine can be targeted by an attack as per normal Rocketmen rules.
When a ship ends its turn within range of the mines, that is when you roll for each mine seperately.
Place 1 or 2 addition RAs face down so that the space station side is facing up. These 1 (or 2) AAFs should be center board but against the edges, at least 1 L increment from the board's edge.
To capture these AAFs, perform a boarding wave as per normal Rocketmen rules, with one exception. If the attacker fails on a dice pairing, take no damage as if both dice were the same (tied). Once captured the facility generates one resource per a full turn. (Idealiy, place another set of 18 resources shuffled aside and draw the single resource from) The AAFs can also burn 1 resource on board to repair one pod to a friendly ship docked with them.
NOTE: The AAFs are designed for perhaps 30pt Active Fleet with 60+pt Reserve fleet games or 4 or more players on a large board of 6ft by 6ft.
