Pirates of the spanish Main Sneak Peek - Dark Hawk II
Dark Hawk II
Card Num: PS-011
Number of Cards: 2
Number of Masts: 3
Cargo: 8
Movement: L
Flag: Pirate
Point Cost: 19
Game Text: This ship’s base move becomes S when she reaches her cargo limit.
Flavor Text: The El Pájaro Relleno was Master Bianco's favorite ship before she was captured. He once said, "Given time, I could hide most of Spain in her enormous hold."
Playtip/Game Designer Note: Only one other ship has a cargo of 8 and that is the Spanish La Joya del Sol. While the La Joya del Sol may be a bit faster with a movement of S+S, it has a higher point cost and is not as accurate with her cannons. The Dark Hawk II is a bargain at 10 points, however, and if your goal is to command a pirate fleet to find treasure, the Dark Hawk II will be the backbone of your fleet. Consider adding a Helmsman to the ship to give her a slight boost in speed. With the rest of your 18 points, pick fast boats with cannoneers and musketeers to run offense. If the Dark Hawk II has to defend itself, it has two short range cannons that only need a 3 or better to hit, and two long rang cannons that need a 4 or better to hit. With a little bit of luck you will never need to have the Dark Hawk II return to your home island until she is loaded with enough treasure to win!

Rush, rush, rush.
Forget Origins and stick with us! :p
The conflicting information is a bit much with this sneak peek. Maybe this is typical pirate disinformation???! :D

Considering the game designer notes/tips talk of using your remaining 18 points...I would tend to think it is a 10 point ship...10+2 for helmsman subtracted from 30 leaves 18. And the picture now shows 4 masts...one hell of a bargain. But if it is a 19 point ship...eww...what an egregious error.
