I'm going to guess that we'll see the French in the next expansion; it only makes sense - the English, French and Spanish all sailed the Spanish Main and regularly battled over treasure ships and treasure ports.

Its already been said that the French and Dutch are coming next.

In this period of time, the dutch were more of a force to be reckoned with than the french.

But don't forget the French factional ability. On turn 0, they can surrender immediately, or immediately move L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L+L away from combat.

Also the French are permitted to simply fly a white flag at the beginning of every game and then surrender immediately.

I can't wait to battle the French Fleet. I'll show no mercy! That's if I can catch them :D What happened to France? It used to be a great country...
