my "mom" (good friends mom) bought us all a bunch of packs for christmas and then had us draw numbers for draw order then we got to draw packs.
i got some decent crew a couple ships i didnt have my wife got luckier than me she got an albino Harbinger and several other good ships. but my friend he got Harbinger, Revenant, and HMS Algernon along with like 4 of the 6 1 masted ships.

the first two cards are lighter in color and the texture is different all the cards we get that are lighter we call albinos.

any one else get pirates for christmas or are expecting them??

I got some pirates for an early Christmas present, the wife doesn't know about it yet ;) . Best way to insure your going to like what you get buy it yourself :p :p .

ah...yes. i got five packs for myself three weeks ago. opened them. got five more to replace them...opened them. got eight more..three to open and five for xmas...opened all packs.( hey.. i found a good box that was yeilding a ton of big rare ships) wife asked about all the freakin ships that i was sorting.... she looked for the five packs i had bought...little did she know i had just replaced them that day ...she went to bed..i opened the five packs. tomorrow i go out to buy five more packs...( maybe ten, then i will have five to open before xmas and five for xmas morning.......i doubt they will last the night..) aaaarrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!! the madness
going to build a shed in the back yard out of all the little black dice...i may need a place to stay.

Unfortunatly for me Pirates is to recent an addiction to be on my wish list so i'll just have to get a few for myself :D

Bought my first 2 packs last night at Target. My son has 10 packs waiting to be opened in the morning. And I just bought an entire box that is currently being shipped to me...so looks like New Year's will be even better than Christmas ;)

Yeah I convinced my mom to order me a box off of e-bay about a month ago...and then convinced her that it'd be a good idea to let me open it early lol. It's so much easier to support an addiction when others do it for you :D

The lighter cards, if on a thinner, almost see through, card stock are from the first print run. Most likely. :)
