Here's my pirate gunship fleet. The idea is to try and sink all of your opponents ships which ought to be a Treasure fleet, and thus ripe for the pickings.

Pride (S+L) (3L, 2L, 3L, Broadside Schooner) - 13 pts
Captain, Helmsman - 5 pts

Sea Nymph (S+L) (3S, 3L, 3L, 3S, Derelict Movement) - 11 pts
Captain, Helmsman - 5 pts

Longshanks (S+L) (3S, 3L, 3S, treasure disability) - 6 pts

I don't like Longshanks, but I don't have an alternative other than the Bloody Jewel, which isn't as good of a gunship. My ideal alternative if I had it would be:

Rover (S+L) (2L, slowed w/ treasure) - 2 pts
Captain - 3 pts

The idea being hit early with long range guns/broadsides and cripple the fleet then move in and nail the stragglers early.

i like the 'shanks, but i can see why you'd rather use the Rover, what set is it from?
