I am very new to the game ( in fact, I haven't even played an actual game yet). How good are slashers? Or should I say, which slasher characters are any good? I want to play vampires, but I like a some sculpts too.

Slashers are favorite of mine, and IMO, very good pieces to field. V Hook and V Scarecrow are especially good, but come with higher point costs. My typical 300 pt team contains "slash"ers (roll1d6 to replace damage value) and monsters who can take the damage as well as give it out, with stamina/ dodge or invulnerability. My team is all Buzzsaw pieces as I haven't gotten into the swing with Lab product yet...

You want a good, cheap slasher, look no farther than Chainsaw from the starter set. Very deadly for a mear 35 points.

E Razorvixen is pretty good for her cost...and she can heal up some using her vampiric powers. Kuthell is dead-on about Chainsaw...awesome offense, but not big on defense. I like the V Evil Leprechaun alot...Slash, Dodge, and Deadshot...all in one tiny green package. Plus I love to talk like a drunken evil Leprechaun when I play him..."eveyones always after me lucky charms" or "burn them...burn them all!" It just never gets old ;)

Those Aliens are also pretty good.

I totally agree!! One of the must have figs from the lab...but it does not have slash...just hella damage
