ok, on the Tire Iron I understand it can do multiple points of damage. Does this damage happen all at once though or one point at a time. ie would stamina only absorb the first point of damage or would this subplot be worthless against anyone with damage reducing powers?

I was once the sufferer of a 5 point Tire Iron attack, so it's all at once, not 1 at a time.

Although I still have to question the validity of it being able to deal more than 4 damage (1 plus the rule of 3).

Right! So any kind of damage reduction would indeed make the Tire Iron useless.

It's one at a time, like Visceral pointed out. The card says "take damage and roll again," or at least that's what it's mean to say, so it's not cumulative. For example, a monster that gains Stamina after early clicks of not having it [not that I can think of one] would stop the attack if and when it was clicked onto that point.
