Do quad mechs get their +1 hull down modifier while occupying hindering terrain in addition to the regular +1 hindering terrain modifier? For example: HK Stalking Spider with L-018 Katana Tormark and camouflage gear would have a DV of 25 while in hindering terrain (20 on the dial +1 for Katana +1 for hull down +1 for hindering terrain +2 for camouflage). Let me know if I'm off here. Thanks.

Yep, quads do get +2 defense modifier when they are in hindering.

Yep. Sounds about right. Quads in hindering with camo are dirty.

Yes you are square on. Quads get the hull down in hindering plus the hindering modifier. So yes 25 deffense.

Hull Down +1
Hindering +1
Pilot +1
Camo +2

Total=5 + 20 on the dial =25 defense in hindering also do not forget they get the hull down in water so they will cool +1 whilee in water terrain.

True, but 4 clicks of venting on HS Stalking Spider in water, is hard to beat.

You would need medium cammo and that does not exsist so thats a no go. (at least to my knowalge) So thats only 23 defence, 20 on the spider +1 for katana + 1 for hull down +1 for hindering. Still not bad.

Gota remember to play ryu against you when we play next so i can stop some nasty spider army you are planning.

SC thunder fox + Single use evade + +2 defence pilot (sc/nc have a few) and you get a wonderfull 27 decoy in the trees... you only get that once, cause of the single use evade so might be smarter to leave it at 25 decoy and put some other gear on it like armour piercing.

You get evade for as long as you have non salvage clicks on the dial. Circle gear (there is no single use term any more) causes a click of damage; not removal of the gear.

However I cannot remember whether the medium evade can be used by quads.

You misunderstood, and dont asume someone does not know how it works right off the bat before thinking.

You can only have 27 decoy for one click, the 21 defence and decoy are only on the SC Thunderfox dial for 1 click so that 27 decoy defence is only there for 1 click.

SW Thunder Fox has camo, on single click and 2 regular clicks of it too. All the while i has 20 defense. So with that in mind... Pilot, decoy, youre kicking butt in cover.
