CC attacks score 'pushing damage'. When a mech CC's another mech does this mean that the CC result ignores/is not reduced by the defender's armor?

That would be correct. There is no armor (currently) that reduces pushing damage.

on an unrelated subject, is anyone having trouble using the event search on the WK site? If not, do you know what XP drivers I need to upgrade?

Sometimes the prox search times out for me. I think it's a function of the connection speed. To combat that, I've made bookmarks for all the venues I frequent. (Which right now is one.) Searching for events @ a particular venue is a lot quicker.
