So I like my Alpha madcat, but it has soooo many glaring handicaps (short range, low attack, has to shoot something to prime, ability generates lots of heat)
So I came up with this army concept:
900 pt HS RD
Hammerfall Atlas
-Sasaki, Yuudai
-Camouflage (RD only)
Alpha Madcat
-Anastasia Kerensky
-RISC Emergency Coolant System
Mjolnir
-Vanek, Matt Zxqueb
DI Towed Field Artillery
Elite Infantry
Combat Technicians
=899 pts
The field arty hits the madcat to prime from green.
The hammerfall stays back in hindering being protected with 25 defense. It gives the Mjolnir and madcat 13 attack EVERY TURN.
Since they always have 13 attack even after they salvage, they pretty much suicide on the enemy forces, inflicting as much absolute carnage as possible. The coolant system gets the alpha back up if it shuts down.
If worse comes to worst, the hammerfall can join the fight. The tech and the elite infantry can repair it with point defense if needed.
1/450: At the beginning of your order stage, choose a friendly unit: It may use the unmodified attack value of another friendly unit of the same type (infantry, vehicle, or ’Mech) for the stage.
The alliance allows a mech to use the unmodified attack of another mech. So I choose the madcat and the mjolnir, and they use Hammerfall's 11 attack as their unmodified attack, and then get +2 from their pilots. So 13.
well i think part of the reason hes using hammerfall and not metablade (thats the one ur thinking of right 11 atv solitare?) is that hammerfall can be called upon to duke it out while metablade kind of has a hard time with that.

I may read this wrong (and I occasionally do), but the way I read this, you cannot modify the attack value given by the SA in any way, not even by the pilots on board the Mech you gave the attack bonus.
Therefore, the attack value given to the other Mechs is 11, instead of 13.
Does a judge know how the SA exactly works? Would appreciate if some clarification is made for this SA card. Thank you...

I'm not certain, but it says "you can use the unmodified attack value" It doesn't say "you can use the unmodified attack value as your attack value." It seems to me that since it doesn't say what you are using the unmodified attack value for, that it would be the same thing as what you were getting it from. So you would be using the unmodified attack value as your unmodified attack value.
