Can artillery or indirect RCAs (not using Streaks) damage shutdown mechs? I know that shutdown units are immune from Streaks, but the rules are not specific regarding the other two modes of fire. Thanks.

You can not streak or inderect shutdown units, I do not know where in the rules, but that is always what I have been told.

It may be legal to target shut-down mechs with arty, but I think it's poor sportsmanship, and I hope anyone I face will read this and realize that I will hold them in contempt for using such low-brow behavior. (Is there any chance that my rant will make my opponents feel guilty enough to keep arty off my off-line robots? ... I didn't think so, either.)

Artillery doesn't target the 'Mech so it's perfectly legal.

If you're dumb enough to get warm enough to shut down when artillery's on the table then you deserve what's coming to you. No point trying to call the other guy unsporting. Myself, I call that kind of behaviour unsporting.

Oh good you were joking lol... was about to chew you out. If anyone shuts down a mech when i have artillery on the field i am targeting.

Also i had no clue you cant target a shutdown mech with streaks or inderect good to know, dont think i have ever tried it streaks are not a nova cat or df staple (other then gunsho)

I use artillery in nearly every army I build, and I would target a shut-down mech with unrepressed glee.

I have looked through the ROW and the FAQ on wizkids and can't find any supporting clarifications stating you can't indirect a shutdown mech. I think if somebody has told you that they are in error.
