With the recent announcement that WotC was canceling Dreamblade, I wonder what the membership here thought of it. Did you play? If so, did you like it? If not, were you considering it?

Some fellow friends of mine tried it, liked it and wanted to get me into it, but it just wasn't my thing.

There were several things about it they mentioned that sounded good, like how it was supposedly more strategic and less dependent on what pieces you had, but I'm a hard sell, especially since there were aspects of the setting (what little I knew of it) that I didn't like.

And I found the floating scissors a bit silly.

I am sure that others have mentioned it before in other places but I think it would have been more apealing to a wider group of people if it wasn't so geared to a darker kind of theme. On one hand I was slightly interested due to what I had heard of the game mechanics but the theme of most of the miniatures is what turned me away. I have two young sons that often see my Mechwarrior minis and want to play with the "Robots" as the older one calls them. I would not want the majority of the dreamblade minis in my house for that reason.
