since it says "values" instead of "value," does that mean that this gear doubles primary and secondary weapons' targets? If so, does it work for a ballistic second weapon, or just an energy second weapon.
I'm so putting this on the undead gravedigger :D Even if it doesn't work for the 18" ballistic, its still good.
I think what this is referring to is the number of either 'lightning bolts' (energy) or 'bombs' (ballistic) beside the range values. The major advantage here would be the ability to attack multiple targets and negate the Called Shot modifier if based which can be a HUGE advantage.

Right. But my question is if you put it one one weapon system, does it double the targets of both weapons. I think the answer is no.
It doubles the number of targets that you can select with the weapon. It would apply to Primary OR Secondary. Which ever ONE you attach the CEC to. Either way the selection must be an Energy weapon type as it's the requirement of the card.
It says range values becuase that's what the Energy symbol is next to. The Min/Max Range Values.
I had ten damage done to me the other day by rosse's revenge. he targetted three things and got a critical. Now if he had PPC, he could have done 14 damage!
I'd have to look up the procedure for calculating damage to be sure of that number. I think it would be 4+3(ability)=7*1.5(ppc)=11+3(critical)=14

My sentients exactly! :devious: This is the one case where'd I'd be obliged to turn a CNC 'Mech against them (I was thinking of using that 'Mech with a +1 damage pride to make use of that).
But...(in referance to post immediately above)...I don't think that damage from a critical hit would stack, per the rules; all targets would take one from that while you can pull all the damage into one target.

That is very true. I guess I didn't specify. I was talking about total amount of damage done. Not the damage done to one unit.

Almost but not quite.
PPC cap on Rosse's revenge with pilot would do 9. You multply the damage value then add the pilot ability.
