 I reaaly like the Telepath/hand destruction idea potsed on UDE. Heres a quote from the UDE/marvel site:
The X-Men have several telepaths that can strip cards from an opponent’s hand. A mind-melting deck can reduce an opponent’s play options down to zero. These mental masters also allow you to manipulate cards in play, including exhausting characters or returning them to their owner’s hand, as well as recycling spent resource cards. Signature telepaths include Professor X, Jean Grey, and Psylocke.
I notice elements of several TCG/CCg games like Magic and WWE Raw Deal to name a few. I also like the fact that you can "bounce" certain characters back into your opponets hand...ie The Blue Mage in Magic. Nice!
card advantage is VERY important in this game...not like yugioh where seen people win the game because they got that one special card that they needed...
I remember when I used the "X-Men" Demo Deck, Professor X was especially dangerous. When he comes into play, your opponent has to discard a card. If you exhaust him, your opponent has to discard a card. YUCK.
However, I remember Mike saying something to me how he was a little broke and they might change that a bit.
i wonder if only telepaths will have the discarding abilty, maybe bruisers like hulk and things could"knock cards out of their hands. but still their is enough psychics in marvel, to make a pure discard deck nasty.
i think those will be some of the nastiest decks that will be at the first couple tourneys..as the game evolves, there will be different monster decks later on...
Never played Magic. My main experience with milling is in the retired online CCG "WWE With Authority". That game also let you keep going when you run out of cards, but milling was powerful none the less.
There's nothing more fun than dominating a game because your opponent never gets to put any of his good counters in his hand.
personally i hope there are more tricky cards that allow for more things besides outright damage, cards that cause discards, loss of cards from the deck, resource destroyers, etc the game can only be won by dealing damage and no way else, but with cards that effect the game but have nothing to do with damage would make deck's more diverse and interesting.

This isn't actually true, the FAQ states this:
Q: Will killing the opponent be the only way to win the game? Or will there be side missions or some other style of win?
A: For starters, you don't actually kill your opponents--players get "knocked out" of the game. As for alternate victory conditions, let's just say that there's usually more than one way to solve a problem.
So theres probably other sneaky ways to win the game...
so if running out of cards in your deck does not mean a loss, then do you think they will have some kind of missions or objective that need to be completed in order to win?
Yah, I think that there will be cards that will allow you to win with alternate victory conditions.
As well, I know for a fact that there are cards that give you more resources, force you to sacrifice resources for a beneficial reason, and force your opponent to discard resources...
any guesses that these missions or objectives will be part of some kind of optional rule, that everyone must agree to use missions, or can a deck use missions and the opponenet bring a deck meant to just destroy? it would make for some interesting battles if both players created different decks with different goal on how to win.
