Alright, I know the game is not even out yet, but I have to ask this question.
Even though I doubt they will release a Indy Vs. set (I hope I'm wrong). What Independent comic would you like to see headline a set? Not just a "Indy Vs." set kinda like Hero Clix. But one stand alone comic.
My vote would be for Hellboy.
The comic is definitely in my top ten. Mike Mignola knows what he is doing with that book. And it would have enough characters in it to make up a small set.
And oh yeah Alan Moore's Top Ten would be unreal!!
Not to mention Scud the Disposable Assassian, (But that would be more like Magic Unglued I think)
O.K. it's hard to pick just one, but I thought I would give you guys something to think about
First of all, a more accurate term is non Marvel and DC, or non-big-two, because not all comics outside of those companies are independents.
Nit-picks aside, you shouldn't be so pessimistic about this idea. I think it's an inevitability. There are several factors that make this game even better suited for small licenses than Heroclix is...
1. The relatively short amount of time between set releases.
2. Because expansions are only 110 cards, and much of those are non-character cards, expansions are just the right size for one single comics licenses.
3. From what I can gather of the news released yesterday, expansions do, in fact, focus on only one license.
Therefor, non-big-two licenses could be successful in the VS system, as long as they are not all bundled together, are marketed as expansions to the overall VS System and not games in their own right, and are each given one expansion and only one expansion solely devoted to each of them.

But hey, I'm no businessman.
I stand corrected, but anything outside the big 2 is commonly referred to as an "independent". When we do in fact know it is not really the case.
But that's just a matter of defining speech.
But you didn't answer the question Bizzaro #98, which I will rephrashe,
Which stand alone comic from the non-"big 2" would you like to see a set for?
TMNT would be cool.
Everyone has a favorite turtle, even if they hate them. Mine is Donatello.
But as far as the childish thing. They could go with the Image label Turtles. That's gritty enough to be cool. Or even the original turtles by Eastman and Laird. Those were some good reads.
I just reread that whole "independent" thing, and I was a real jerk about it. For that, I apologize. I didn't know that was a commonly used term before Indyclix, and I was somewhat hoping it wouldn't infect this game, but this too, I fear, is inevitable.
You are right, I didn't answer the question, and there's a reason for that. My favorite independent comics to add to a game like this, just like in clix, are ones I've never heard of. I like to use stuff like this to find out what's worth reading outside of my usual handful of DC titles. If it's good enough to get into a Marvel/DC collectible game, it's good enough for me.
and turtels would rock too, they would not be that powerful, seeings as they are only ninjas, more liked on the same power level as elektra or deadpool or wolverine, but still it would cool.
i would love some chaos, like lady death, evilernie, purgatory and what not.
