Would a card that allows unaffiliated characters to join a team be broken?
I think this would be a great plot twist for the Injustice League/Gang, to show how the team is almost entirely composed of villain's from individual rogue's galleries (even more so than the Masters of Evil).
Thing is, I know there's got to be some way it could be abused. Those unaffiliated character's have got complex powers.
ok, what if it is not a plot twist, but an equipment, that way it cost resources points not thresholds, it also will take away from your curve, unless you are playing FF. it could be called something like new costume or something like that. and it should cost about 2-3.
so yeah, that un-affiliate guy with that great power, and awesome stats can be made to wear the uniform of another team, but it will cost you alot to do it.
anything can be done, as long as it is costed correctly.
I think the idea of having some way to give the non-affiliated characters an affiliation (even if it's for a turn or two), wouldn't be broken, just possibly highly played. Either way, I think it's a really kool idea!;)
Let me rephrase the question. Considering the unaffiliated characters we have so far, would this card be broken?
Secret Society of Super Villains
Play only if you control an Injustice Gang character and a character without a team affiliation.
Ongoing: Cards you control, as well as cards in your hand, deck, and KO'd pile that do not have a team affiliation are considered to have the Injustice Gang team affiliation.
Immediately noticeable effects:
Arcade becomes a monster in team attacks.
Mojo is now useless. All your characters now have a team affiliation. ;)
Nah, IMO I don't think that would really change or affect people's view of how or who to play with the non-affiliated cards. The only thing to gain from the joining of a team, besides Arcade's power, would be reinforcement and team attacks, not exactly the kind of effects that would dramatically tip the scales for the non-affiliated cards so far.
Bizzaro's version of the card that makes the non-affiliated characters a specific affilation wouldn't be that big of an issue and could be a lot of fun.
Now if there was a card that made non-affiliated characters ANY affiliation? Three words: Random Punk Sentinels. OUCH.
The Upper Deck guys seem to have hinted to Kergy that DC will have less unaffiliated characters than Marvel, so this card is even more harmless in non-mixed games. :)

Arcade, Punks, Black Tom, Lady D - all now a part of B-Hood or Sentinels...?? Yummy =)
The problem with that is that you'd need Secret Society of Super Villains, Marvel Team-Up, and at least one Injustice Gang character. How do you make sure you get that specific combo without filling your deck with so many of those cards that there's no room left for Brotherhood/Sentinel and unaffiliated guys?
I think an equipment card to make an unaffiliated card affiliated would be cool. I think it could be something like "X-Men Communicator" or "X-Men Uniform". That is the best type of equipment I could think of to represent someone joining the team. Now, how about Avengers and other teams that don't have uniforms?
