I picked up 2 starter deck yesterday and put the Sinister Syndicate side together.
I started to playtest against The New Brotherhood (Gabe Wall). Man this team is something else.
Early to mid-game is sick.
Just with a few changes with the current card pool, I feel the this team will make some of those New Brotherhool decks think twice.
Is anyone else seeing this or am I just tired?
I thought the Syndicate was pretty good. With the exception of Lizard of course. I thought Green Goblin was the nastiest. Anyway the Syndicate is going to be a pretty good deck.
i also agree that they may be a new viable bruise deck, if not THE new bruiser deck. i think we need too see the rest of the syndicate first though, and there rares. it can only get better from now.
Lizard isn't TOO bad, IMO. If someone with a 5 ATK attacks him your going to lose 4 endurance anyways, might as well use it to keep him alive instead. Oh well, you should hope for Rhino on turn 3 anyways. :)
i think this could definitely be a new bruiser
me and my friend split the starter, and then we faced off
him w/ Spidey, and me w/ the SS.....
oh, haha, it was total domination *echo*
i completely destroyed him! haha
Electro worked great
stun any 2 OR 3 drop, thats awesome 4 a 2 drop
Rhino and Green Goblin are great
Kraven and Vulture r pretty good 4 their drops
Venom is also nasty (even tho Rogue is better IMO)
Sadistic Choice is.....well, sadistic
and Osborn industries can giv the deck much needed speed
i cant wait 2 see what else they got going 4 them....
Electro does look disgustingly good, he's basically a cheap version of Gambit. Combine him with X-Men, School him on turn 3: wreck their whole line for whatever nasty 3-drop you have (Rhino, Wolerine) to smash big breakthrough.
You'd probably wish to go first if you have the choice.
turn one, the Vulture is Sick!!!! 2/1 flying, and "spirit linked" he should have had a Rhino drawback too. that drawback of his is too easy.
Turn two electro rules, so very easy to stun their two drop, then attack again with the vulture for more life.
turn three, the Rhino wrecks shop. he's Marvels version of Magic's "Ball Lightning"
turn five, Green goblin is sick
if you have initiative on even turns, Lizard may want to be your 3 drop on that turn, in case you wish to play a war of attrition. Lizard helps you with the numbers game.
Kraven on turn 4 is beautiful.
Green goblin on turn 5 when you don't have initiative is sick as well, since he comes out after the opponent makes his formation before you recruit.
O'yeah, that is how the perfect draws do look like. 6 drop Venom is just kool. Even if they attack it, it should still stun their character. Now if they do pay, just Finish Move that character.
Too bad they did not give us another 3 drop in the starter deck. Missing the 3 drop really does hurt.
they did give another 3 drop, lizard. he isnt great, but with Ock's lab, for the cost of 7, he is a 6/6 and that aint to bad. His bast defense, is the option to use his ability, alot of people wont go after him if he won't get stunned, stun there guy, and remain there to attack
