Stall, stall, and stall.
Entangle is nice.
Fastball Special+Finishing Move
Mystic Paralysis.
Dazzler, Puppetmaster.
Reign of Terror.
If you're doing Doom/X-Men, Beast and Latveria will help out.
Go for the Gamma Bomb version. Stall until turn 7 then reuse Gamma Bomb over and over again via Dr. Doom. There can't be any stunned characters if there aren't any on the field. You'll probably have to have Avalon Space Station so you can discard your Beast every turn so you can get a Dream counter. I haven't tried it out yet, but it sounds good in theory.
You may want to think about Thing at 7 drop to bounce all the little guys.
There was a dream deck that made top 8 in gainesville. Look at the general discussion forum. Then go to the pcq sub-forum, then look for gainesville. There is a top 8 one there.
I have been working on a quick Dream deck for awhile now and it seems to work faily well.
I tried the reusable Gamma Bomb approach, but, the Dream played like an after thought thrown in as an alternate win condition.
If you are trying to put out the dream as fast as possible, then you need to go full stall and you need both Beast and Lavertia in play as quickly as possible.
I actually pulled off a turn 5 dream win by having both Beast and Lavertia in play when I revealed the Dream on turn 3. I only had to stall for 2 more turns after that an it was no problem.
Swift Escape
Entangle
Mystic Paralysis
Reign of Terror
Puppet Master
Doom (4 drop)
Beast
Boris
Lavertia
These are the key cards if you plan on going for the early Dream win. If you do this then you need to finish the Dream on turn 7 either by Gamma Bomb or lockdown.
Dazzler is worth considering. She is a great drop if your opponent has initiative and put someone in the support row.
Robot Sentries are also something to think about, but, they just haven't tested that well.
I am waiting on DC and Spidey/Ock to see if they have anything that will add to the concept.
This type of deck could make agood showing when a few more peices of the puzzle are added
I heard rumors of an item that exausts itself insted of the attached character when performing and activated ability. If this is true then Puppet Master jsut got a whole lot better
The dream is very good in an unlikely allies deck.
Turn 5 wins arent as uncommon as one might be led to believe. Puppet Masters/Swift Escape/CoTA are very good. Throw in the Doom control elements (which just dominate turn 4) and you've already got 2 counters in the bag. Turn 5 is the turn that hurts the most. If you can manage to get through turn 5 without having something stun then your golden. If they manage to suicide themselves then just use finishing moves to get rid of them. Very solid deck, I could see this becomming very popular in the guture.
