I've emailed UDE before and was promised some PCQ for people living in northern California. 6 weeks later still nothing. What do you think, should we all ban together and protest?
I don't think we need to protest i think we just need to make our own system or get together with a store owner that is willing to run small tourneys anyone else think that it's a good idea? well me and a few friends already get together every couple weeks to play we're looking for more people in the bay area that are down to play
We are running sanctioned Tournaments in the bay area right now. We have ran a total of about 5 santioned ones so far and we are trying to get all the perople we can. Our average size right now is about 6-8 but the more the better. I know no store info is alowed but it is held in pleasanton ca. PM me or look at the store locator. We normally hold them friday and Saturday. Hope to see you there
Well we need more tournament support period. I'd like to see some tourneys I could go to every weekend. SoCal has the support cause UDE is right there in Carlsbad (Right near San Diego). We'll get a NorCal PCQ eventually, but for now we just need a bigger fanbase.
Capitalist, what time do you guys usually play? I might have to drive down to check it out tomorrow. PM me with any info if you can. I'm bout to check the venue list for your place. My guess is its probably around Stoneridge Mall?
UDE tourneys would be nice, but I'd just be happy with a group of committed players getting together every weekend or so. Found a couple people, and a good location, but it's not nearly enough.
Unfortionatly this weekend was killed as far as tournament due to the fact that most our players went away for the 4th. However we try to run one on Saturday about 12 noon. The owner is great and we stay till we are tired of playing. As far as the location it is off Hopyard, next exit up from Stoneridge.
edit:
However I will be there most of the day and if you do show up I will have all my cards and eager to play. I TO and Judge the YUGI turnament but will have time to play and trade I and still 29 short of a full DC set non holo. COme by and well play.
Man you have that much DC already? Geez..thats even more tempting for me to go there just to pick up some. How much per booster/box? I might go DC booster crazy till I get me a handful of Nightwings and a Superman.
Does anyone run big YGO events in NorCal? That person is probably the Premiere TO for your area. You should ask him about applying to get a PCQ in Northern California.
It really has to be a PTO who takes the lead to run a PCQ. UDE will provide the support but if no PTO is willing to run the event, it won't get done.
There are YGO events around every block, too many around here. Though theres only 3 or 4 that I can think of that are official that use your Duelist ID numbers and such. But yea, worrying about getting a PCQ near here shouldn't even be much of an issue yet since we don't have much VS support to begin with. Its justified that there isn't one announced around here yet. But theres an upcoming one in Reno I believe, and if your really serious about a PCQ the distance isn't bad at all.
Yea that's why i didn't even mention PCQ, i just want a playgroup that is cool i like playing for fun mostly and if we get enough people a pcq would be great but i'm not rushing anything.. until then we'll be at the vegas pcq and such having some fun.. i preordered my dc online from a east coast dude and probably won't see mine for awhile doh.. guess i'll have to buy some in the stores b4 then... anyone interested in getting together name the place and time and i'll be there (one week notice and it can't be the 17th cause that's vegas time)
We have a great group that we playtest all the time. We also have a veriaty of decks so that you can test all sorts plans. As far as how much per box. It is $3.50 a pack. Or $70-75 a box. He got 4 cases just today and one case sold ASAP.
Edit:
As far as buying to much DC already I only got 1 box and a few extra for some booster games. It was great I only got 1 double rare in about 30 packs. This is so much better than when I had to buy 5 boxes of Marvel to be missing this many.
The fact that you guys got all those cases of DC convinced me that I need to get down there. I'll probably leave at or before noon, but I should be there before 1. Not sure how long I'll stay though cause I wanna hit up the mall since I'm going to Plesanton anyway.

How luck can you get? Well, at least that is the way to look at it. I like to have a players set. 2 out of 3 of my boxes had doubles with the rares. Yes, it did limit my variety, but I am that much closer to getting my players set. See what I pulled on the Pull Trend.
OK, NorCal.
The Premier TO for NorCal is planning on a mid July PCQ. Keyword is planning. I do not know if I can say the Co., so I will not. (If I can, then I will let them post it) But I will tell you how to find out.
Go to UDE.com
go to tournaments.
go and look in the YGO section and find who held the YGO Regional Tournaments. They have a web site. Go check it out and do some reading. The site is new and has very little on it, but it does have some info, on what this trend wants to know.
If we even want them to host a PCQ or $10K event, then we need to show that they do have player base. More tournaments being reported is always a good thing. Encourage your friends to come out and play in the tournament. Some of them are sacred to play, because they think they are not good enough. Let me tell you, to tell them, they will not get has good, as if they did come out and learn. Sure they can learn it on their own, but learning with others, is wwwwaaaaayyyy better. Not everyone, who goes to local tournaments, are tier 1.;)
