Since I can't run a contest, I'll have a challenge. What's that? It's just mental exercises we all do. Post to this thread so everyone can see interesting new combos to work together for their own decks. But let's be strict in the challenge. The tighter the reins, the faster the horse as it were.
Challenge Guidelines:
1-This is for no prize. Nothing. You're doing it for fun.
2-You can use no Rares. At all.
3-You can use only 1 uncommon for every 3 common cards.
4-You must attempt to boost a character to its highest you can the turn it comes out. You must also do this on a turn 1-3 character.
5-Equipment is not allowed. Adding Dual Firearms for +2 is too easy.
6-Its assumed that the previous drops that you want have been made and remain in play until the turn you do your combo is done. All characters in play can use their powers for this challenge.
7-You can only use 1 of each card type. 1 power up. 1 location. 1 plot twist. Etc.
8-Its assumed you have all the cards you need to play your combo but no more. You also have the initiative you need to do it. We're looking for a 'best situation' basically.
9-Team Tactics and Cosmic Radiation/School or any comboes resembling it do not work for this.
Again, this is a simple exercise in your combo making abilities. Like the All Things Doom thread is for talking about Doom, this thread is for talking about cheap combos that if pulled off right can make an opponent go nuts. Or you go nuts on an opponent. ;)
Here's my own little combo to start it off then:
Dazzler in your support row. You have even inits. Play Archangel. Use Dazzler's power to exhaust the support row enemy. Archangel (2/3) declares an attack on the support row. He gets +3 ATK, making him 5/3. Power up for 6/4. Flip location: Danger Room. 7/4. Use PT: Crushing Blow. +3/+3. Archangel now is a turn 2 10/7 attacker.
All for 1 Uncommon (Danger Room) and several Commons. 1 power up used. 1 PT used. 1 Location used.
Let's see some other neat combos people got. Remember though, it's just for fun, and its focus is for combos on the cheap.
Turn 1.
Set a Flying Fortress
Play Malaq, The Money Man in the Support Row (1/1)
flip Flying Fortress and activate on Malaq (5/1)
Play Mega Blast on Malaq (9/1)
Attack with Malaq and Power-Up Malaq (10/2)
I probably broke some rule, but this is what I got.
Rogue (3 drop) in play, have lost city active, mega blast on her, power her up by discarding another Rogue, she's 11/7 :) Used 3 commons (mega blast, rogue, discarded rogue, and uncommon losct city.)
