Does anybody think that the 2 highest drops Batman got the shaft? I mean, he can't even compete with Ra's al Ghul, without cards in your hand, or plot twists, but then Ra's can have plot twists too.
He seems to have gotten the shaft in all games. In Overpower he had great stats but all his special cards really sucked. And in Heroclix, he has some awsome abilities, but, his 9 attack, and 16 def really bites. I mean this is Batman, my favorite DC character, and he always gets the short end of all the sticks.

Actually...If you build a deck around 7 Drop Batman...he is really gross! I've had him at 19/19 and above on turn 7.

I think the main problem with him is that if you have any more than 7 cards in hand, he's Overload bait.

True...but you absolutely have to save all your fizzles for overload...unless you pack not so fast too. And remember, you've got a ton of cards in your hand. Also combos well with press the attack. :)

Exactly, if you have 7 or more card in your hand, you'll have a fizzled or not so fast.

The whole point of batman is that he's just a human that is able to do some crazy stuff because of all his money and his physical prowess. to represent this they made it so batman is only as powerful as what he's got up his sleeve (your hand full of plot twists, equipment, locations etc) and the people he has helping him (exhausting your characters to make him even more crafty/powerful) I think the flavor is correct. if you just made him a beast of a drop then it wouldn't portray a man that can do superhuman things it would be more just like all the other superhumans out there right?

and press the attack is one of the best cards ever printed!!!

i here complaints frequently that press the attack is hard to pull off, but if you are planning to play it, and work towards it, it gets a lot easier than saying " gosh, this looks like a good place to throw in a couple of press the attacks".

and the high drops in dc don't get much better than superman ! 20/20 for 8 and he can't be stunned while he's ready?

and as far as the lady shiva thing goes, she is a rare, and utility belt is only uncommon, and that fixes that problem right there.

i even got to use my utility belt to stop another utility belt in one game today.

so far i love the gotham knights, and once i have some more, i'm sure i'll love em even more.

Heh... VS system created the ability of Batman perfectly. Like Meltedminds said- he's just a man that can do extraordinary things. Other 7 drops you're comparing him to are mutants, an Atlantean, the daughter of Trigon, a 600 year old man, a cosmic radiated blue-eyed beast from Yancey Street, a genetically altered accident, a man with tentacles fused to his spine, and a really crazy man.

Even when Batman was in the Justice League, technically he was the weakest. I'm referrencing the cartoon since I dun remember the comics too well. Anywho, even though the Bat was weaker physically, he was still capable of taking out all the other Justice League members. That is no small feat.

So, why is Batman raw numbers weak? Because he is just a man. With his resourcefulness, he is able to rise up to the level and surpass the other 7 drops. That's why we love him!
