Wow. Vastly improved card distribution. The DC boxes rock, even compared to other ccgs, simply amazing. In one box I got no duplicate rares, nearly a complete set of Uncommons (off by just one card), and nearly a complete playset of Commons (again off by just one card). That is a playset of Commons mind you, not just a set.... That is totally amazing compared to what the Marvel boxes were/are like.... Oy. Kudos to UDE for vastly improving the card distribution in the booster packs for the DC set.
I bought a box and a half and still no death stroke or neutron. Not that i'm complaining i have pretty much every other card... its just I wanted a fearsome five deck and its a royal pain getting four of each one without going on the internet. But I must agree that the card distribution is very much improved.
It would appear that this is an extremely unusual occurance. I just got my pre-ordered box of DC and I was AMAZED to find that the first pack I opened contained 6 rares in it. I had heard that packs could contain more than 1 rare, but this was unbelievable. However, the most unbelievable thing was that this trend continued through the rest of the packs, each of which had a minimum of 5 rares. I ended up pulling 155 rares from the box, more than the number of commons I pulled. This included a full set of the rares, 2 Have a Blast, 2 Fizzle, 3 Garth, and 3 Alfred Pennyworth. While this is of course bragging a bit, I'm also still in shock and trying to figure out how something such as this would happen. If anyone else has had this kind of experience with their DC boxes I would love to hear about it.
