I used to think that the 7 drop batman was not so great. Then I won a tournment with my gotham knights deck and I won with an attack of a 31/31 Batman.
I have a hard time believing that. You can bulk him up, but it's at the expense of the rest of your team, since you aren't playing as many plot twists, using equipment, etc. If you made all of your drops, and used NO equipment, and NO Plot Twists from your hand, that would leave something like 18 cards in your deck.....
Well it's not as difficult as u think. Its just a combination of keeping barbara gordon on the field using alfred and 6 drop nightwings ability and about putting the right plot twists in the resource row.
You have to burn through cards just to keep Oracle up and running to make it to recovery. Burn a Plot Twist to keep her around, draw a card. That's just breaking even. Alfred is only going to get you a card every other turn, so that isn't going very fast, either. Nightwing only draws 1 card, and that's the turn before TDK comes out.
It's not that hard. I've played my GK's deck twice and gotten Bats up to about 23/23, but then upped it further to 31/23 with plot twists. Just use a lot of scrubs at the end with his power for a big punch. Of course, then you have to watch out for a 7 drop Wolverine, which I almost learned the hard way.
I think the problem with the batman card is that everyone had a different idea of what it was going to be. Personally I think they got it right.
Batman , in theory of course, can take down anyone anywhere IF he has the time and resources to plan. Thats what the card basically does. However, I think that everyone is missing the idea and point of the card. Batman isn't going to be your main stomper. He's there to allow you to draw enough cards to have your others go in and kick ass.
GCPD with their reinforcement works wonders when trying to use batmans ability. I have drawn 12 cards in two rounds with them. So batman is 19/19. I don't care. By that point he has a big bullseye on his chest and thats the way I want it. You should have enough plot twists and character cards in your hand to basically turn all of your 1-4 drops into 7 drop equivelent characters. Nothing is funnier than seeing your gcpd officer take out a opponents juggernaut. Almost as good as professor x and the flying kick debacle.;)
