As a rookie to this fine game i was wondering as to what decks are enjoyable to play and relatively cheap. Being a yu-gi-oh player i know how much some decks cost and am hoping it is not the case with VS. If not I am intrested in making a teamup deck of Spider Friends and Sinster Syndicate and I am wondering is this a good deck for newbies and should I be buying many booster packs or are the starter cards enough.;)
You could try and stick Spidey and the Sinister Syndicate together, but you'd need to find some copies of Marvel Team-Up from the Marvel Origins set and / or (preferably and) World's Finest from the DC set.
However, I wouldn't recommend the idea as a good deck for newbies. The Spidey starter has some good cards, but mostly the plot twists are more situational than those in the X-Men / Brotherhood starter.
If you can find a ready supply of commons and uncommons, an effective Sentinel deck can be put together for not much money.
Wild Vomit is enjoyable to play, cheap, and has proven to be tournament worthy. It will only set you back $70-80 which is better then some Brotherhood decks with 4 Savage Beatdowns. If you want a decklist, pm me.
Alright maybe I will purchase an Xmen/Brotherhood starter deck though i do perfer using spiderman for he is my favorite super hero-but what if I combine the plot twist from the Xmen/ Brother Hood starter with a spiderfriends/sinster syndicate deck-do you think that would be a good idea.
And Dnikman I will pm u for I have no idea what a wild vomit deck is.
Spider-Man and the Sinister Syndicate do have some overlap in strategy in that Black Cat and Sadistic Choice both (may) make the opponent discard cards. Sticking them together isn’t the worst idea ever.
Personally I think Spidey would go better with the X-Men. The Sinister Syndicate don’t seem that good right now. Too much discarding of characters required and not enough ways to draw them.
Maybe I should purchase an Xmen/Brother hood starter but I want to know if it is worth. If possible could any please post a deck list or direct to a place that has the Xmen starter deck decklist.
