Not your typical netdecking question because I see no problem with it. I had a friend who made a deck. We started talking and he started #####ing aboot netdeckers and how much they suck and they have no skill and so on and so on.
I then pointed out the deck he was playing is net deck. He said no it wasnt because he changed the deck.
I looked and a few cards where changed because of local meta but more or less the same deck.
Like I said I dont think it was a big deal and wouldnt exepct he was bashing netdeckers. Its not a big deal. he changed a few cards but liek I said more or less kept the same deck. Just kinda irked me
I think it's foolish to assume that because someone uses a deck they saw on the internet that they suck.
I currently have NO ONE in my area who plays Vs. I can't even find any local stores that carry DC. I therefore have NO meta to work with and nothing to compare anything I build to. If it weren't for looking up random decks and reading strategy discussions, I would have no clue about how anything in this game worked.
That is why Vs Realms is such a valuable resource.
I haven't had the time to buy many packs yet, and I haven't seen my exact deck(or anything close to it) posted on the net. But once I get some good cards to build the type of deck I want to, It will most likely heavily resemble something I found on the internet. And I say: WHO CARES? I can go to a tournament where 75% of the people play a netdecked BBH. If I see it works really well and I make a carbon copy of that deck, have I netdecked? Some say yes and some say no. The point is, it doesn't matter. Some people have their skills in building decks, and others have their skills in coming up with combos, and still others have an affinity for rulings and game mechanics. Everyone has their strengths. By borrowing knowledge from others, we can all become better at this game. And if someone didn't want their deck copied on the internet they shouldn't have posted it.
The whole net-decking arguement is kinda moot.. originality is great and i personally have a pretty original deck.. although it has elements of decks that are known. when you copy a deck card for card from the internet you are technically netdecking.. if you play it a couple times and change some cards to your liking you are spending time with it and testing it i would consider the time spent to be enought to not consider it a net-decked deck..
