Allright it appears no one else wants to make the thread so I will. For some reason or the other I just can't play a straight out one affiliation deck. I have to be different and experiment with different team combos. Anyone else who is with me feel free to post in this thread. I guess we should limit it to teams at least half dc though, seeing as how this is the dc discussion area.
Right now I am seriously playtesting 2 different decks. One is a Gotham Knights/X-men army deck, the other a gotham/doom deck. I'll start with the doom/gk deck.
4 MOR-107 Boris-Personal Servant of Dr. Doom
4 MOR-111 Dr. Doom-Diabolic Genius
1 MOR-113 Dr. Doom-Lord of Latveria
4 MOR-115 Kristoff Von Doom-The Boy Who Would Be Doom
1 MOR-121 Sub-Mariner-Ally of Doom
4 MOR-128 Doom's Throne Room
4 MOR-129 Doomstadt
1 MOR-130 Faces of Doom
1 MOR-133 Mystical Paralysis
1 MOR-135 Reign of Terror
1 MOR-136 The Power Cosmic
4 MOR-173 Acrobatic Dodge
4 MOR-189 Flying Kick
3 DOR-001 Alfred Pennyworth-Faithful Friend
1 DOR-002 Azrael-Jean Paul Valley
1 DOR-011 Dick Grayson . Nightwing-Defender of Bl"dhaven
2 DOR-012 Dick Grayson . Robin-Sidekick
4 DOR-016 Huntress-Helena Rosa Bertinelli
1 DOR-017 Lady Shiva-Sandra Woosan
4 DOR-026 Bat-Signal
2 DOR-029 Fizzle
4 DOR-157 Mega-Blast
4 DOR-165 World's Finest
Okay, obviously I like to search. I usually search for bat signal first, assuming i already have team up. If not, then faces for the 4 drop doom or maybe teamup. If i already have the doom, then search for shiva, and reflip signal on turn 4 via doom. And, if you have everything already, then search for the allmighty reign of terror. I take even init, and put my 3 drop behind shiva on turn 5, with doom in the back row. Seems to work pretty well and I usually dont take much damage on turn 5. (On a side note, I love it when they have to teamup on shiva and then I just use robin-sidekick's effect). Of course, if they are going to stun your character and you have a signal in hand... USE IT! Turn 6 is usually pretty productive, with doom, shiva, and azrael out there plus a pretty good amount of pumps, I can usually do some nice damage. Unless of course they run the nearly broken heroic sacrifice. :p If you can't finish off your opponent this turn, you should at least have board control. Maybe use a power cosmic on turn 7 and hope they have some guys in the back row for your sub-mariner to chew on. If not, try and stall till big doom time. I'll update after some more playtesting.
Allright. On to the xmen/gk deck. This thing is mad fun at least for me.
4 MOR-007 Cyclops-Slim
4 MOR-015 Longshot-Rebel Freedom Fighter
1 MOR-036 The Blackbird
3 MOR-038 Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
4 MOR-199 Marvel Team-Up
4 MOR-203 Night Vision
1 MOR-210 Press the Attack
3 DOR-001 Alfred Pennyworth-Faithful Friend
3 DOR-003 Barbara Gordon . Oracle-Information Network
2 DOR-005 Batman-The Dark Knight
19 DOR-014 GCPD Officer-Army
1 DOR-020 Superman-Big Blue Boy Scout
3 DOR-026 Bat-Signal
3 DOR-028 Dynamic Duo
1 DOR-029 Fizzle
4 DOR-030 GCPD Headquarters
Basic premise, combos. Lots of em. I think there is a LOT of synergy in this deck. I built this deck with turn 5 in mind, although turn 6 is usually ok if they didnt decimate your officers on turn 5. Mulligan for longshot. NUff said. You need a full hand to play this deck and longshot is the means to taht end. I usually use him to search for vision and officer until i get night vision, then whatevers on top. I really dont need teamup until turn 4 or 5, so most times I draw it and can use alfred to search for the bird. On turn 5, a perfect setup would be something along the lines of cyclops slim, longshot, the blackbird, gcpd hq, dynamic duo, teamup, 4-6 officers and maybe even an xaviers school. xaviers plus alfred is a nice combo. Use duo repeatedly to reinforce your numerous officers and minimize endurance loss. If you have the hq out, use it on LS or clops (assuming teamup) I try and hold off on cyclops until turn 5 so they can't stun him and longshot which makes me lose someone I need. If the game gets to turn 7, you should be doing well. Hopefully you cleared the board on turn 5, and with a press the attack, and tdk, things are gonna be rough for your opponent. I run one fizzle and it is for flame trap, if you think they aren't running trap, then usually have a blast is a good thing to fizzle. Beware antman! His ability hurts bad.
Once again feedback is welcome. I am working on another knights hybrid deck, ( I love em! Alfred, batsignal, and fizzle are too good) will post soon. Who else is running teamup decks and what teams and strategy?
Well both your decks look very nice and I bet you have fun using those decks-which is proably the most important factor of Vs. is to have fun and enjoy yourself (winning dose not hurt either;) )
Anyway the current teamup deck I use is Sinster Synidicate and Spiderfriends deck, though there is not much support right now I still enjoy the deck immensly. As of late I am thinking of converiting the deck into a Spider Friends/ FF- I don't know though.
I tried a sinister syndicate/ fearsome five deck for a whilie but it kinda sucked. and i didn't really know much about the marvel characters. But I had an arkham inmates/ fearsome five deck that played ok. I think if you pull it off right team up decks can be better than just straight one team decks. Oh and your's look good. Xmen and gotham sounds cool but i don't really see Doom and batman working together.
I'm with you guys on this one. I am currently running a Gotham Knights/Arkham Inmates deck. It's really fun and I keep trying to make it better by asking everyone's opinion. if anybody wants to help me out they can the deck link is here: http://www.vsrealms.com/deck.php?id=2428&action=view
ajil my advice to you,not to be criticle, but try substituting clocktower for nightvision ,because it can exhaust your officers plus it can look a lot deeper than nightvision, and unless x's school really helps you substitute it for wayne manor life gain is never a bad thing, even if you dont need to gain life it exhausts officers and it can bring back big amounts of BEL.Take out the press the attack and add a couple nightwings(6drop)he's great to set up for batman plus he looks pretty cool. also try to play with the fastball special i think it would work well with the officers it gives them reinforcment by exhausting them and it can kill huge attackers. and find more fizzles flame trap kills army decks. uttility belt would'nt be to bad either. sorry to revamp your deck but just passify me see how it works:laugh: and get back to me
ps: its ok to run a little over sixty in a gk deck, consider the following(barbara gordon, alfred, batsignel, batman tdk,etc...)
I for one like x-men and teen titans they team attack well plus they just wont die with nightcrawler cyke2 and 5drops and cota is just broken ilove when they think ill choose garth over redstar and boom cota out of nowhere plus blackbird is awesome for making up for missed drops
Well thanks for the advice. I played with fastball special for a while, but ditched it b/c there just isnt enough room. If i was going to ko anything, i had to have a special and a finishing move. Now the plan is to use gcpd hq for koing. Clocktower for night vision, hmm sounds like it could work, never thought about being able to use it multiple times in one turn. Only problem is you can't search for it with alfred, and sometimes I don't want to exhaust my guys to see the card. I am keeping press the attack, I really don't think that 1 card is going to mess up my draws, and its just too good on turn 7 with batman. Xaviers is a great card, makes alfred have virtually no drawback, and doubles the card drawing opportunities with LS. Like I said duo and gcpd hq usually are enough for being reinforced. Im not sure I understand your last sentance, I am already running all the cards you mentioned in it. I've actually revamped a little since then, I cut out barbara and 1 tdk and added in a couple of commish gordon. Later

There are some good team up decks out there. I like to team up because it keeps the game intersting. I don't want to stick to just one deck cause I tend to stick to the same strategies and game play when I decide to move to a different deck. I've tried pretty much everything doom, and others. The deck I'm working on is a Teen titan/ Fearsome 5 blitz deck which if given the right cards, ravages the player winning on turn 5. But I still have to work on consistancy. I'm also thinking of Gotham X-men life gain deck with Wayne Manor, Spoiler, and X corp:) It seems interesting. Also I want to perfect a Doom/League deck. The main combo is to have 4 drop Ras, any 5 drop, and 6 drop Doom. Intentionaly stun the 5 drop and Dual nature 4 drop Doom. Hmmmm Ras and both Dooms in play, talk about control. :) Laters
