I download everything that it says to, but when i go to open MTGPlay i get this:

"Can't open MTG interactive database "C:\Program Files\MTGPlay\db\magic.mdb'

Error 3706: Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed. (ADODB.Connection)"



Now, i saw the one other thread with the same error on it, but i have a different problem. I go to download the MTGPlay file (The first one im told to download) and download it. It's now on my desktop, so i go and click on it. It says "Installing" and runs through the files like a normal installation, then "Completed", so I click close. Nothing after that. I then go to open MTGPlay and get the above error. I was not given the option to choose language or anything else mentioned on the other thread.

You still may need both the MDAC and JET updates if you are on Windows 98.

Downloaded MDAC and already had JET...still getting same error...and yeah, im on '98.

I don't know what to tell you, as that is the listed solution for the ADODB error.

Uninstall MTGPlay, reboot, and try reinstalling again now that you have the MDAC updated.

tried that as well...danged program just doesnt seem to want to run.
