Anyone know what plan they have for keeping track of cards in the draft? Are they gonna have a nifty little stamp or something similar like they do in Magic? Stamped cards that would be at a higher premium than regular cards would definitely be yet another bonus to getting to day 2.

So I'll answer it of course :-P

1. I would think they will be stamped in a similar fashion as to Magic.

2. Most Magic players throw away their draft decks minus the good rares.

3. I personally would not want any Pro Circuit stamped cards unless they were my own. Even then, I don't see any additional value.

Whenever you have s limited quantity of product with the “official stamp” it will be worth money or at least be good trade bait .

Not really. Some people collect unusual/unique cards. These cards are going to be from the first VS PC ever and someone might want a piece of that history. Personally, I don't put additional value on them, but I prefer non-mint cards anyway because I'm going to play them anyway and make them non-mint, so why put forth extra effort to get a mint card just to damage it? It's all a matter of what someone wants, but just because someone wants a stamped card doesn't make them crazy or I could argue that those who want mint cards are crazy due to my point of view. Different people want different things.

Different isn't always better or right.

I would prefer having a card that I can keep as close to mint condition as possible so I might maximize my return if I choose to exit the game.

I'm leaving Magic behind, and I've been able to get more money from having my cards be in NM/Mint condition.

Ah, but that is the reason that I would prefer having worse condition cards to play with. It allows me to keep my mint versions to trade to people who want cards that are in M-NM condition. I don't use cards that are about to tear in half, I just use the ones that already have some wear on them instead of those that don't. I didn't say different was better or right, I was just pointing out that wanting something different doesn't make the person crazy, it just makes them different with different interests than we have. My "playset" cards are separate from my "trade" cards and I concern myself more with the care of the "trade" cards because those are intended to go to other people for cards I want/need, whether the cards I get be in mint condition or NM-EX condition.
