I just got a promo fold out sheet for the next DC set. Superman: Man of Steel.

There are 4 cards pictured but there is no text on them beyond the card title.

They are

Darkseid- character
Unrelenting Assault- plot twist
Last Son of Krypton- plot twist
Beta Club- equipment

I'd love it if you could describe the art on this card. It sounds like a generic plot twist.

This could be so many things. I'd like to know the art on it, too, if that's at all possible.

And the ringer! Kalibak's trademark weapon, many a Hunger Dog on the lowly streets of the Armaghetto have tasted the harsh punishment of the Beta Club.

All I could think of when I read this was...

Last Son of Krypton sounds like a Faces of Supes card to me.

Last Son of Krypton may be a card that interacts with the Superman Allies' KO pile/stunned board.

Yeah, maybe it'll be a take on the incredibly popular Last Stand.

"Play only if you control three or more stunned characters.

Target Super-Team defender get +10 ATK and +10 DEF this turn."

It would certainly fit the Huge Stats and Annoying Restrictions theme that some think the Super-Team will center around. :grin:

Unrelenting assault's art? Heh, it gave me goosebumps. Its got Doomesday standing over Supes. Supes also has his clothes torn, tattred and severely beat up. Doomesday looks cool as ever with bone armor already out. Looks like they are in Central park too. Ill get a scan up soon.

The Death of Superman, immortalized in card form. Not my favorite Supes story, but definitely a classic comics moment.

It's a real pity these cards had no text. I can't help but think they would have revealed a lot about the teams of S,tMoS.

yeha, there were no team affils, flavor text, costs, or play text. I was fooled into reading alloud the "product depicted..." clause thinkin it had actual text. DARN YOU UDE!!!!!

It's okay. If Upper Deck had shown a bunch of in-progress abilities on the cards, people would have freaked out an cried "broken" like they always do, so it's probably for the best. :p
