I really like the card at first glance, but in the long run none of those things will really help you, and you can gain the things listed on that card with other cards already, and with those cards you don't have to have a specific FF character on the field. It's still nice though.
If you control Thing all of your characters get +1 ATK this turn. If you control Invisible Woman all of your characters get +1 DEF this turn. If you control Mr. Fantastic you may return one equipment card from the KO'd pile and add it to your hand. If you control the Human Torch all of your characters have flight and range this turn.
Yeah. It's really the first ruling I've found to be "stupid" so far. At least on Child I can look on it as an additional restriction that might not be unfair, where as here it's a huge restriction on a card that hardly needs it.
The Child Named... ruling you are referring to is due to the fact that if you control Dr. Doom in addition to Mr. F and Invisible Woman, you must execute the 2nd effect. But that's ONLY if you control Doom.
So, yes, if you control Mr. F following the Child ruling you would have to have a KO'd equipment card to play it.
ARE YOU KIDDING, This is a strong card. If you have the whole team which, most FF decks have, you get it all +1/+1 Flight and a free Equipment for 1 turn.
Better than Airborn assault, because its also works on defence. it is the only card beside garth that bring equipment back, so that 1 copy you have is returnable (I like tech upgrade to search for equipment because I can do it as I'm being attacked.)
