Has anyone recieved money from a PCQ or a 10K event that was held by Pastimes? If so let me know. Including myself, I know of a least 6-8 people who have not recieved anything. It just seems odd that if you won a tourny 4 months ago you would have gotten something by now.
Pastimes has been EXTREMELY slow getting anything entered and/or sent out. I have emailed them several times asking after top 8 prizes I was promised. That PCQ has also not been entered into ratings. A friend that won the Constructed PCQ in Indianapolis also has not received his check. Alan, owner of Pastimes, claims that the non-cash prizes have not been sent to him by UDE. The fact that the money also hasn't been received seems to imply that Pastimes is to blame.
I was at Gen Con (8/21/2004) and go my prize money yesterday (9/16/2004). From what I had heard from other players, I expected up to 2 months. Overall, I think it came rather quickly.
First, I just checked and EVERY event we have run for Upper Deck has been uploaded to them. Exactly what the turnaround time is really depends. That said, some of the events we THOUGHT were uploaded, had not been - and for that I apologize.
The W-9s that were given to us at the 10K left the event with the folks who were there from Upper Deck. What they did with them when they left I cannot tell you. However, in the very near future, if you do not have your money - please e-mail me directly at [email protected] and I will try to help.
In the same vein, I am going to be on the phone with them asking about the "back due" shirts and foils from the St. Louis PCQ - these will get to you. That is the the only thing I should have to be sending out. I believe UD is taking care of anything else that is "due". If I am wrong, please let me know and we will make it right.
In regards to w-9s, if you have won an event and are waiting for money - please make sure you have a w-9 on file with UD. If you need one, please go to www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf, fill one out and send it to Upper Deck.
In another attempt to keep things rolling and get everyone happy and playing more, we have just hired an Events Coordinator. Those of you who were at the Columbia, MO Pre-Release may have met Conrad. From this point forward one of Conrad's jobs is to make sure that:
1. You guys have more events with better lead time to go to.
2. Events are uploaded within 48 hours of their finish time.
3. All e-mails will be responded to quickly.
These are three of his primary goals. Give him a couple weeks to get a system down, but then we should be golden!!
If you have any ideas for cool events or ways to make current ones better, please e-mail him at [email protected]
Thanks for bearing with us as we learn Upper Deck's systems. This is a new company with a learning curve - just like everything.
