Ok carnage gives + att to everyone but himself....Horrible.
the rare venom is not bad but his other ver is way better. I mean the sonic gun is dumb cause it can't hurt carnage, and it will rape beast boy and scarecrow more then it hurts venom and spidey. I don't know I may be putting to much favoritistism but I think the symbiotes got a bump wrap(don't like any of the are on them either)
I think Shriek and Carnage will do great in decks built around them. What about a Clone Saga, Wild Pack, ESU Science Labs, Silver Sable, Maximum Carnage deck ?!?
it might work well.
If your opponent is doing his curve thing he played only 8 characters till turn 8 netting in a +16 bonus.
But with lots of Wild Packs you will have a much larger bonus on attack.
How to use 4 cost Venom I'm not sure. He is a nice 4 drop with evasion even without any +1 markers on him.
Seriously, a 5 cost 10/8 that's a viable play on turn 8? Boo hoo. Venom kills anything he stuns, that's the crappiest ability I've ever heard of. Good lord. Personally, I think they did the symbiotes great, esp. with the Venom, Carnage, Venom sequence at 4, 5, 6.
Also, remember that sonics no longer hurt Carnage(at least as of Maximum Carnage, which is where Carnage's flavor text came from) . Only fire does, but he's be ridiculous if only Firestar and Human Torch could hurt him.
I think Carnage was done well, as well as both Venoms. Carnage allows for a whole new weenie deck (which is a good thing) and Venom (4) allows for some amazingly powerful Syndicate characters.
but the Venom is always vunerable to sonic waves and his 6 drop is immune? Why is Carnage give attack Mod to his oppentents! I don't mind the Venoms all that much. I just think this based a lot of cards of the Maxium Carange series and there whole history.
Oh yes, that was pretty much my point, a lot of these cards are based on that. But then again, you need to have a frame of reference when you design these cards, and I think that most players would recognize Carnage from his Maximum Carnage storyline.
Venom is always vulnerable to sonics, yes, but in recent comics he appeared in (relaunch of Spectacular Spider Man, for example) sonics aren't used to beat him as they once were. Venom became a more definied and, frankly much more interesting character.
Carnage gives the opponents attack increases because, well, remember that during Maximum Carnage he did kill Dopleganger just cuz, and beat up on Shriek all the time. Carnage does stuff for himself, and isn't a team player. If he accidentally stabs his teammates, he won't blink twice (assuming he can blink in that outfit).
I am actually very happy with the Carnage (maybe not the picture so much, but it's ok) Upper Deck released, and I think he'll become a threat. You need a deck built around him, but that's what I expected from the card anyway.
Carnage was made to allow you to cause alot of break through, if it is not your intiative drop GG instead! The idea is to allow you to cause mismatches between drops, gain control of the field, and cause a sick amount of break through! Saying Carnage is a bad card is like saying swords suck, because you don't know how to use one.
Carnage is the Way he is cause when he shows up things hit the preverbial fan. Think About it when he is around people ack alot different than normal because he is there, Villians get more agressive and the heroes are forced to get more aggressive to compensate. If its your turn and you drop CArnage odds are everyone is gettin stunned that turn your guys and his, and thats how Carnage wants it.
