I carpooled with 5 friends and we all got our membership #'s (most of them are pretty new, and I've been missing sanctioned events and have been playing online). 4 Of use are playing sealed, while the other are playing constructed only, with one of the sealeders also constructing it up.

We got 11 people, not great, judge offers something odd, we instead choose to play sealed pack. I crack 2 The prophecy fufilled, foil new teen titans and X-ray vision. 21 plottwists!!!!, tons of good stuff, I organize everything and it's heavily leaning towards revenge pact because of character base. We gotta change, I get one with Donna troy, troia, Wally west, 8/8 dog and Jason todd, nothing too great there. I look at my stuff, 8 playable plottwists (I really don't like men of steel, that was about the only thing I cut along with Toy soldiers and an uncommon new gods one of some sort Here's my sealed pool that I didn't use

I decided to play New Gods/Darkseid, as it had the best drops IMO. Didn't open any hordes or anything great like that, and my offensive plottiwsts were SERIOUSLY lacking. I wanted my other sealed pack but this would due.

I only had 1 real 7 drop, but devilance was never on 5 unless didn't have my others, so it worked out fine.

Match report:
The dice rolls didn't matter, If I won I took evens (due to 6 drop darkseid/Orion, and some other good offensive 4 drops and such). Everyone else wanted odds, fine with me.
Round 1 Vs BYE, screws me over in tie breakers :(. I do get deck checked and pass succesfully.

Round 2 vs ??? (sorry, bad with names)
I win 1-0, he scoops when he thinks I have him beat, but then he says "wait, let me try something" while still saying he lost, it's too late. He plays it out, and eventually he team attacks me with 2 characters, one is out of my characters stun range but I don't want to stun his other drop (as my big creature wouldnt be able to do enough breakthrough otherwise) we argue with a few people, but we later learn that I was right, and I didn't have to stun him, and could compare my atk to another characters def even if the def was higher. So I still should have won.

2-0 Currently.

Round 3 vs ???? I think this guy had my card pool, I barely beat him in the end, I get called a lucksack, I guess I am :(, still good for me. I'm now 3-0.

Round 4 vs ave (Wrote it down, :))
I miss my 4 drop and instead drop serifan and mother box. I make countless play errors

In between rounds the owner who dislikes me tells the head judge in French "Some people win with skill, while others win because of other's inexperience" this pissed me off, but the guy doesn't like me, whatever.


Round 5, against Dave
I tell him that i have to play well because my friends might not make top 4 otherwise, he understands.
I win in the end, he made a play error by not having enough attack to stun my barda, even though I was at -3 (I could use her ability, I pay 0, this according to judge). I'm pretty sure he knew this as I had clarified before, eitherway I had the game.

Top 4: Vs Round 2 Opponent
I win game 1 because he misses his 3 drop, I do some cool stuff with heatvision +stopped cold. I get a great draw to be honest.

Game 2 He wins it with a few life left, I can't think of any play mistake, but I kept an iffy hand with 2 5 drops and a 2 drop as I didn't want to miss my 5 later. I draw a 5 in my next 2 cards :(. I lose eventually after missing 3 drop (grannyt goodness really is great!).

Game 3, I win in the end, he mixed up superman kal-el's ability a few times, proba bly could of done alot better if he hadn't.

Top 2: Dave again, he wants to prize split, as did I. Our match was a coin flip and wanted to be safe. He offered a gracious prize split of splitting the check (if they ever come!) (around 150 canadian each) and splitting the 24 packs (6 of each set, so we each got a draft set of every set). He gets the deck box, and I get the invite (he already had 5 points).
First sanctioned tourney, a win, gonna go to New york most likely :)

my friend with CE top 4's, he loses to cars due to the forcefield. he gets half a box (12 packs). the guy playing cars is the guy who prize split with me. other top 2 was curve and titans, curve won and curve guy refused to prize split. When I left, Dave was winning, good for him, he's a great guy.

Congrats on your win, one question though? Was the top 4 of the sealed pack played with your original decks or did you draft? If they didnt have you draft then why not?

Nope, if you are at 0 or in negatives you pay 0 life to activate Barda's abilitiy. One of the reasons she is so good.

How did you win round four. All you said is you made alot of mstakes and won. Did you get really lucky or did your opponent also make mistakes. That just seems like a blank spot to me. Other wise a good report. Nice job on tieing for first.

He attacks badly in the end and misses a 7 drop, which ends the game.
