Do those attackers ready or do they remain exhausted? If they attack again it really is only good for removal of pump up cards or just makes your opponent hit jason first.

They remain exhausted. Removing the defender from the attack readies attackers. Removing the attacker just ends the attack.

remove attackers = remain exhausted
remove defender = attackers ready
