Why in the world did UDE make this card. It's so good. All the combo's you can make is really good. Come on it's so Broken (word of the month) that it's sick, well not really. Why couldn't they make it at least a Generic Team up. Now I can splash Fizzles in my Marvel Knight deck, splash Demon Head in my Marvel Knight deck, Splash It's Clobbering time, without having to get two different characters on the field. Thats just wrong. Anyone else think that Midnight sons went a little too far?
The card itself really isn't all that impressive. Whats really amazing is the potential that it brings.
The ability to Splash any PT or Location in a deck without the the need for a single character is quite scary. Clobbering time, tower of babel, fizzle, bamf, TTGO not to mention all the search tutors. The possibilites are endless.
Luckily the card itself is stamped for Marvel Knights. Its clear they wanted to team up MK flawlessly with any deck.
I used it in draft, and it indeed helped me. But is not THAT great...maybe in one of Ludin's crazy decks..like that 100 card deck i heard about. we shall all soon see the power of The Midnight Sons!
Dude Midnight sons is the bomb yo! I have so many ideas running around in my head cause of that card its insane...:: pop :: my brain exploded give me a second.

1. It makes you vulnerable to Foiled.
Where the deck wouldnt usually have plot twists, it makes you weaker to TNB and TT.
2. It creates card disadvantage.
Your Bamfs and ICT all need a card in play before you can do them, this means you need to lose 8 slots of your deck, 4 MS 4 Dagger, to play them.
3. Before you get the teamup, your deck has 12+ dead cards to draw. If yo draw the teamup and no off team cards, or vice versa.
Its a cool card, and very Johhny. I'm not sold on it (putting it in an all concealed deck and splasing bamf CotA sounds loooovely)
1. Dective work or fizzle can handle this!
2. A good player can handle this!
2b. Wild ride can handle this!
3. It is posts like this, the why it work wont rather than they why it can work, that keeps so many new people to the game from experimenting with new ideas!
ECP I like that you usually take the glass is half empty approach, I'll take it's half full and we'll balance eachother out! ;)
I still think Royal Decree is better than Midnight Sons. You can't put too much stuff in your deck that only works when you have it out or you will get screwed totally when you don't draw it or it gets nuked.
Midnight Sons is way better than Royal Decree. The ability to team up with any team regardless of whether you have them or not is a huge ability for Marvel Knights. Plus you have Dagger at the 1 drop who will search out the card for you. So, if you want you are pretty much guaranteed to have the card in hand by turn one. Mulligan for either Dagger or Midnight Sons.
Plus you can now splash that character with loyalty. Got a plot twist you want to reuse? No problem. Throw in Garth.
I think this really helps with those loyalty characters that you've always wanted to splash in but couldn't because of loyalty. Now you can splash in Ra and Lady Shiva and tower of babel. This makes for so much combolicious fun.
midnight sons is so broken in a constructed deck. i don't even know where to begin. if you can't realize it's potential then i'm sure you'll feel it's fury when it's played against you
broken i think not...bc if u are going to build a deck on that kind of stuff it sucks b.c this card will take up 4 spots in a deck that can already be tight strapped.
i think they got it because they are a good team up deck
Its a good card, that you might be able to make something of, but for the most part t is going to be a preemtive team up. I can see MK/??? team ups using this just so that you can recuit ??? characters with loyalty and start with ??? plot twists.
I can't see splashing in 4 detective works, 4 Fizxles and whatever other cardd on the hopes that you draw one of the 4 cards to make it useful. Some team up decks have a hard enough time drawing a team up from 6-8 cards, nevermind 4. Doesn't seem very logical
